We interview 6 companies and chose Clean Solar because they were willing to install critter guard and extra outlets w/o using a third party. Glad we did. Installers were very professional & they returned to fix some minor issues w/o fuss. Got a call from Charlie a couple of weeks afterwards. He just wanted to ask if we were happy with the installation & if we had any questions. That’s great service especially since the check already cleared.
Just a note. One contractor we rejected promoted a low interest rate if we finance. Somewhere buried in the middle of the contract is a sentence that there’s an additional fee if we do so…for approx $9k more. Glad I read it carefully.

We were interested in installing solar to control the cost of our electric bill and realized we needed a new roof also, so we called Randy to kill two birds with one stone! Our goal was to outfit a system that would meet all of our home electricity needs plus our electric car. The solar system has been perfect and it's exciting that we have taken the power back from PG&E! The roofing installation team was also fantastic and did a quick and professional job. The coordination between the roofing and solar teams was nice because one rolled into the other and avoided any delays.

We installed a new roof, solar panels and a Powerwall this September. We have been very pleased with Clean Solar in system design, installation and support. We are in an HOA too. They made approval from the HOA, the city and PG&E smooth and simple. The backup feature of the system already worked to give us power during a 6 hour power outage in October too. We also like the fact that Clean Solar is a Certified B Corporation and has made a charity donation to Second Harvest after our project.

Extremely happy with the quality of the work, the clear and frequent communication with our project manager (Denise), and the technically savvy staff all around. They are happy to go into tech details about the system, the electrical flows, the monitoring, etc.

It was a non-trivial install as we had old-old panels from a different installer (2008), old panels from a previous CleanSolar install, and old powerwalls from Tesla. The CleanSolar engineers designed the addition of new panels and new powerwalls in a way that resulted in a very clean and elegant system that produces the expected energy. It's fully integrated in the Tesla app and provide a full house backup system.

I requested quotes for a solar and battery installation from three installers. I chose to go with Clean Solar because they were able to work closely with me to understand my technical needs and educate me regarding local ordinances, as well as PG&E requirements. The sales agent (Logan) worked closely with their technical staff to ensure that their proposed installation met my needs. I have two electric cars and came to understand that I needed two batteries to better manage my vehicle charging. The installation happened as promised, and there was only a minor issue requiring correction during the inspection which was handled promptly.
