I have been, and still am a customer of Natural Engergy out of Escondido. My salesperson is no longer there, but he was great. His name is Bob Rubin. The sales process was great. The installers did a great job. So why the one start. Simple. They were great at taking my money, but here I am, several years later, supposedly with my warranty and all, yet I cannot get a single person to call me back. All of a sudden, my electric bill skyrocketed. I've spoken with SDG&E and they checked my electric system and state it is fine. I did notice something out of the ordinary with my solar system and contacted NE. I went round and round with one person there who seemingly did not quite understand the issue, which I thought was fairly easy to understand: My bill has been $9.00 a month and last month it shot to $291.00. There is an issue. My system showed that it had generated 1.2 kWh and SDG&E states that we used over 2.1kWh, which has never happened in the entire 19 years we've lived at our home. Doing the math, it appears as though my solar is no longer reporting, because if you do the math and subtracted the numbers, rather than added them, it would look normal.

It has been 3 months now, multiple phone calls, multiple messages, multiple persons stating that they would take care of this and still, nothing.

A company is only as good as their customer service in times of need. I believe that I have been patient and there is never any excuse for a company to take more than 3 months to get back to a customer.

Perhaps if they do change their attitude and ever do contact me I will consider a change in this rating.

Buyer beware. Everything is great, until you need something.

By the way, I have 28 panels on my roof for an approximate 7.5K system.

It's been about a year and a half since they installed our solar. First of all Jim mislead us about the tax rebate. He promised us financing
That wasn't True. Then our system malfunctioned and shut off for months. We have contacted them by phone and email over 28 times. They continue to give us the run a round. I would go with any other solar company but them.

Update: after contacting them 30 times,Nick finally called me back. Who feed me a line of crap about why the system failed. Total lie. never got a change to talk to Jill. she gave the file over to Nick. When I called she was in a meeting (again or gone for the day.) With the was the owner. The owner Ted...didn't call me. By my request. If I could give 0 stars I would. All the reviews must be related to the staff. They are rude, uncaring, and inconsiderate. I hope everyone reads this and please DO NOT give them your business, money and time.

Do not use this company! I had 34 panels installed last year and just received my annual adjustment bill from SoCal Edison, over $4900!!! That means my total cost went up and not down. They promised me about an $80 monthly Edison cost but it's actually over $400 per month. I called Natural Energy and Edison and was told that my usage doubled since I had solar installed. That is absolutely impossible, especially since I spent a fortune installing modern and efficient air conditioners. This looks to be an absolute scam. In fact I have heard of other people having the same issue. Don't let yourself get screwed like what happened to me. I have since been told that they use very inefficient solar panels.

First, I would like to state that I AM a real customer. If the owner of Natural Energy claims I am not, you are being mislead.

I paid a total of $25,000.00 to Natural Energy to install solar on my home.

I have experienced issues with Natural Energy honoring their warranty.
Natural Energy's warranty on roof penetrations is 10 years. This is a big selling point for Natural Energy.

Our system was installed in 2016. 3 months ago (December 2016), I noticed a roof leak in the ceiling of our newly remodeled kitchen. We immediately contacted a license roofing company and Natural Energy to come out and determine the source of the leak. The leak was identified by the roofing company to be missing and required secondary flashing on roof penetrations performed by Natural Energy, during their installation. This was found on 2 roof penetrations.

The Natural Energy rep onsite with the roofing company agreed with the diagnosis. Unfortunately, it took Natural Energy over a month to come out and remove all conduits from my roof and repair the improper installations.

Although Natural Energy did eventually repair their improper installation, they have to date (3 months later) refused to reimburse us the cost we had to pay a licensed roofing company to identify the leak as an improper installation by Natural Energy. In addition, Natural Energy has refused to correct the damage caused by their improper installation. The cost for the repairs to my ceiling are on us.

We had a second issue with the installation. Natural Energy installed unnecessary ground cabling resulting in holes in the side of our home. The Natural Energy rep also agreed that this was an improper installation. The cables have since been removed. However, we had to live with duct tape over the holes that existed, after the cabling was removed, for almost 3 weeks. It took numerous emails and phone calls just to get someone to come back out and make the repairs required following the removal.

My review and account is completely factual. Last night (3/21/17) the owner visited my home on the pretense of resolving the outstanding issues. He came into our home and proceeded to accuse my wife and I of extortion. When asked to leave, he told us both to “F@#%-OFF”. That behavior left us speechless.

We have been trying to get service on our panels that Natural Energy installed. Numerous messages left and no return calls. One time someone actually did answer the phone and promised a tech would call when out in our area. No call- it’s been weeks!!! No direct contact information for the operations manager Jose Badillo. We did just email the owner- found an old email address. - doubt I will get a response. At this point we feel scammed. Right now I would never refer anyone to Natural Energy.

I wanted solar panels for the past few years now. I kept putting it off because of the cost but my husband found Solar Wholesale, who we could finally afford. I spoke with a representative who broke down the costs to expect and explained the basic installation process. A man came by our home a few days later to inspect our roof and determine whether we were eligible. After we were approved the installation only took a day with an on-site team. Affordable, high quality, and great for my electric bills. Easily a five star service!

If I can give zero stars I would! I’m so upset that my parents who are senior citizens and got ripped off this company, they’re a scam. They took 17GS from my parents and the service hasn’t even been working?! They have contacted the owner and no response! Now, we find out they went bankrupt are stuck with non working solar panels a high electricity bill of 3GS! After doing my own investigation, I see that they got ripped off and a complete scam! Do not trust these little companies!

Awful company!!! Please DO NOT believe a word they say!!! This company does not deserve a single star (I had to select a star in order to post here)
We paid for solar panels back in 2018 and here we are with 2022 in a few days and we have not yet been connected with Edison! I have made numerous calls with no response or answer from the owner. There has been a very polite lady who has tried to help me her name is Lisa, other than her I have not been able to talk to anyone to get this matter resolved. I have even contacted the Better Business Bureau without resolution. I have requested a refund thru the BBB because we have not received the services that we paid for.
