VERT Environmental was subcontracted by SERVPRO on my property insurance claim. A couple of months later, I started getting harassed with several threatening phone calls, letters, and emails demanding payment for an asbestos test ($845) without so much as an attached work authorization. I followed up with my insurance company, who called VERT and verified that they in fact had been paid for their services. Even if there was a mix up in their accounting department, why would you harass the customer and NOT the prime contractor who hired you? I almost was tricked into paying $845 out of pocket because VERT couldn't handle their paperwork.

Luxury Sold

Vert came to my house to test for mold from a water leak. The technician was scheduled right away and completed his job promptly. He was very professional. The office was very easy to coordinate a tech coming to the house and available for any questions. The remediation crew and plumber were able to come back asap because Vert completed the job promptly! I highly recommend Vert for testing services. thank you!

Unfortunately due to a pretty severe leak behind cabinets and drywall, we were forced to test our kitchen for safety. Very was awesome! Quick to test and communicate results. We had a outstanding claim with insurance that took forever to resolve and Vert was awesome to work with me on pricing. Insurance ended up shafting us at the end, but Vert’s willingness to provide a reasonable discount made a huge difference. They truly seemed happy to give me the savings even though they didn’t have to. It says a lot about the operations and the business as a whole. I appreciate the willingness to work with us! Hopefully we don’t need the service again, but if we do, I will definitely contact Vert.

We did get the asbestos in our restroom removed which is a great thing but the customer service is basically non-existent. We were under the impression that the insurance covered the entire job because there was no request for payment at the time of service.
Several months later we started getting demands for payment. When I tried to call to pay they said that they would send me a link to pay online. About 15 minutes later I just got an invoice saying that I owed more than double of what I was originally told with no link to pay. I had to call 3 or 4 times in order to finally be able to pay over the phone and thankfully they waived the fee.
Only use this company if you are desperate.

I got billed today by this company, and they charged me 1250, and never sent me an invoice. So I called them asking about the charges and they told me they took 12 samples, which billing could not explain or justify. I was told prior it was going to be 790+ $35 per sample. They never told me they needed to take a minimum of three samples per area. So basically they did two separate samples for the drywall even though it’s the exact same drywall upstairs and downstairs, they did two separate samples because they were different textures. I explained to them that they are only two different textures because we just re-textured the downstairs and that it is the exact same drywall behind the new texture. They argued with me that it didn’t matter and they still have to test if it’s different textures. So that’s $100 because I recently pained and textured my walls, not before 1981. ? Then they tested our vinyl floor in the master bathroom that’s barely hanging on by a thread that we could’ve just torn out, and tested the glue that’s barely holding it down. So we paid an extra $200 for some vinyl and glue we could’ve just torn out for them instead of having them test it. It would have been great to know how many samples they were taking or what they were testing so we didn’t just spend $200 on a 4 x 4 piece of vinyl that were planning to remove and replace anyways.

I was so impressed and happy with my experience with Vert Environmental. I was concerned that we might have lead paint in our house and hired them to come check it out. The technician Jay was incredibly thorough, patient and meticulous. He answered all of my questions before and after the taking the readings.

After leaving he noticed that something seemed a little odd in the readings so he asked if he could come back to the house and double check a couple of the readings. He had been right the first time but I was so thankful that he made the effort to come back.

The report that the company send was thorough, organized and detailed. On top of that the administrative staff was helpful, booking the appointment was easy and the price was the most reasonable of the companies I called for a quote. This is the first review I ever write in google and I’m doing it because I was so genuinely impressed by this company.

This company is GREAT! They did an amazing and thorough job of testing our home post remediation. I felt very good knowing the air quality was back to normal for my family to be in the house!

In addition... they keep great records. I had to go back and find the clearance report from 5 years ago as we are selling our home, and they keep very well organized archives. The person on the phone had a PDF of the report sent to my inbox in a matter of 5 minutes. This saved me TONS of time and headache to dig into my less organized files to try and find it again.
