My son just completed the 5 day Tommy Tsunami surf camp. He had the time of his life and is already begging to do it again next summer. This camp is well organized and very professional. The camp instructors are top notch and made sure each kid was having fun and had everything they needed. Child to instructor ratio was excellent and made me feel safe leaving my little one for the day. Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend this camp!!!

During our group surf lesson the 2 of us were paired with one instructor. Our surf instructor was Hyland and he was great! He covered technique on the sand and took us where the water was shallow. He taught us about the different parts of the wave and gave us great feedback on each wave we caught to help us improve during the lesson. I’ve surfed in 14 countries and these were the best quality boards & wetsuits I have seen included with the lesson cost. Our bodies stayed warm and we had great mobility. The stand up guarantee is legit. It was my date’s first time on a surf board and he stood up twice! Highly recommend.

My 9 year old daughter just completed her 3rd consecutive year of surf camp with Tommy Tsunami and team & she loves it so much she wants to join for a second week! The instructors are all very attentive and fun for the kids to spend the morning with. This year we had two friends join the camp at the same time and all three girls had a great experience. Thank you, Tommy Tsunami! We'll be back very soon!

My 10 year old was dying to try surfing and we were on a road trip through CA. I was able to book him a lesson and it was the best part of his trip! Tommy introduced himself and suited up and swam out to get video of the folks taking lessons.

They paired him with a 16 year old instructor, which was perfect for him. He was able to get up multiple times and his instructor cheered with him. The water was so cold, but between him wetsuit and excitement he said he didn’t even feel it. 🙂

Would 100% recommend! No one taking a lesson when we were there didn’t have a huge smile.

We highly recommend Tommy Tsunami! They made sure to accommodate our group of 5 and even had 2 guides to help with our larger group! Tommy and Kevin were great at explaining what to do and why we do it which helped make it all make sense. They supplied the surf boards and wetsuits for our whole group. They even gave us advice on what beaches were good for surfing at our next destination! It was easily the highlight of our trip!

Would give 6 stars if I could. Based on their stellar reputation, I brought my two boys (8yrs & 9 yrs) from Austin, Tx to Half Moon Bay specifically to attend the TT surf camp and learn to surf myself.

The business is well organized, the instructors are top notch and great with kids, and the pacing of instruction is good. Importantly, the owners' (brothers Thomas and Peter) hearts are all the way in it. They are the exact types of people who know how to do things the right way and have created a business well worth supporting.

And shout out to Dayton, who was my private instructor. I was not an easy client (top heavy 47-year-old with zero experience and questionable balance). Dayton was patient, professional, cool, and an all-around great teacher and human. Request him if he is available.

Nice job to you and your team, guys. Thanks for everything, and we'll be seeing you again next year.

Of all the summer camps that happened simultaneously, this camp seemed to have the best instructor to camper ratio. Instructors are EXTREMELY patient, and were able to provide significant amounts of one-on-one guidance to campers that needed more help. In addition, our whole family learned more about ocean safety, and overall significantly improved our ocean comfort after one brief week of half-day camps. Very much worth the time and drive.
