Horst designed a home for me and my wife in Laguna Beach and I'm very happy with the job he did for us. Peter Anderson, you seem to have problems but I don't think Horst is the cause. It's really not cool to trash a good man's name in an online review like you did. So Horst followed his own vision? That's because he's an artist. If you didn't like his style, you shouldn't have hired him in the first place. As for the rest of your review, it says more about you than about Horst. I found Horst to be an exceptional architect with a superb eye for modern design. He is approachable, dependable, and highly professional. If you don't like contemporary architecture, maybe you should hire someone else. Otherwise, Horst is an excellent choice.

We've worked with Horst and team over the last few years on a remodel of a heritage home. Through many revisions, often prompted by city and heritage reviews, Horst and team have been creative, prompt and professional. We love the plans they've developed. While our property is more traditional than contemporary, we've appreciated Horst's ability to move between the two. And aside from that, he and his team are just really nice people.
