The “sabotage” spoke of on WPTV on 09-06-24 about the fired employee that leaked out the golf plans was not the problem. The SABOTAGE was the DEP trying to sneak golf courses in OUR STATE PARKS like Jonathan Dickinson State Park! “ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) official told Scripps Tampa that the alleged leak of plans to add amenities like a golf course to state parks "felt like sabotage." It comes as new details emerge about the former DEP employee allegedly behind it all, James Gaddis.”

A shell of a company, used by lobbyists to put up a front that the state actually cares about the nature it so readily destroys for more properties. You all are absolutely disgusting humans for trying to slide the ‘great outdoor initiative’ under our noses. We will vote out anyone that takes part so pack your bags. Anyone that played a part in keeping this secret there’s a special place for you and it’s warmer than Florida ? hopefully you all do some reflecting, cause you’ve got our full attention now and we won’t stop watching.

The Florida DEP issues permits in sovereign waters, and artificially dug communities. Sovereign waters existed in & before 1845. Artificially dug waters are those created after 1845. If you are in an artificially dug community, which is most of South Florida, the DEP setback rules do not apply and the DEP shouldn't be issuing approvals of any kind - but they do, and therefore people get DEP approval and carry approvals around as fact. The DEP will issue permits that encroach on the water rights of neighbors. And then, they will step back and claim that they are not responsible for their decisions. Just last week, an employee at the DEP on GunnClub Road told me it was ok that my neighbor took 8 feet of my waterfront, because I have 200 feet, and he only has 40'. The law in Palm Beach County is to share the waterway from the corner survey pin of your lot to the center line of the canal. Know this: marine contractors will self certify with the DEP, and the DEP does not check anything because it's run by a bunch of low paid teenagers that runoff of emotion and not policy. Instead, go to the Armp Corp of Engineers. Also, PALM BEACH County permit dept does not properly review anything related to seawalls, docks and lifts - nor when they visit do they check anything properly. Do not assume the county will catch it, b/c I've never seen them catch anything. If you have an issue in an artificially dug community, go to the army Corp. of engineers and do an appeal because the army Corp. will review and look to see how neighbors will be impacted. I do not see the value of the DEP at all, except for a quick loophole for Marine approval.
