I first would like to share that San Diego environmental services is probably one of the worst and customer service.
On August 14, I came across my trash guy tearing up, putting the biggest holes in my trashcan then leaving said trashcan on the ground down next-door to my neighbors house.
Once I went outside, the trash guy flipped me off and kept on driving. I went outside, picked up my trashcan, put it away. There was someone behind him waiting on him in a school bus she saw the whole thing.
Fast-forward To August 21 same trash collector beat up my trashcan there’s an even bigger hole. He emptied the trash but proceeded to get out of the truck but I don’t know about maybe 8-10 pink stickers on there saying that it’s damaged. And I need to get a new trashcan, but y’all also left all of the stickers all over the ground as well, so I had to pick up the trash after him You can see the photos.

I’ve been called spoke with a young lady Who indicated that I would need to be on manual pick up and that would cost me $95 for them to bring a new trashcan out. She then stated that she would put me on manual pick up so all of my trash bags we need to be put out where the trashcan would go because it takes four weeks for a trashcan to be delivered

Today 28 August trash truck came trash bags out on the curb trash man drove past trash bags.

I immediately contacted them and I was told that trash man did not pick up trash and I was told that it’s not the trash man that picks it up. It’s another service that will pick it And they have all day to come pick up, but he told me that by 3:30 the latest 330 comes it’s now 427. No one has picked up my trash bags. So I call again and get a young lady who told me that she couldn’t find any of the information. I told her that the gentleman that I spoke with initially said the same thing, but he was able to find it and so was she I also told her that when they initially came today and passed all my trash bags. I hopped into my car and drove to Miramar and picked up the brand new trashcan for $70 trash bag still outside. I say all this to say, As we In San Diego, do not pay for trash pick up and they make all their money on replacement trash cans, It shows.

I will say I did receive the best customer service from the gentleman and ladies At San Diego, environmental services, location and Miramar hands-down the best. Customer service and the trash dude……horrible.

no callback from supervisor nor any manual pick up……city needs to do better

Thank you thank you to the driver of the black cans pickup truck for taking the time to stop his truck on July 30th at 3:30pm to take the can and put it away- with a smile. Greatfully appreciate him! How can I get his name? I’m in RB 92127

For over a year I have been reaching out to the city to ask, beg, plead, demand that they make their drivers adhere to the speed limits in our neighborhood. They do not. Each trash day their drivers speed down our street and other streets in our neighborhood with reckless abandon. The city just does not care that they are putting lives at risk! To any employees of the city that are reading this: the speed limit max is 25 mph on residential streets, 15 mph in the alleys.

Every single time I call for help they are nice, helpful and pleasant to deal with. They get the job done Asap!
Not once have I had a bad experience with Environmental Services.

Get It Done gets NOTHING done. We live in City Heights and it is pretty obvious that the city actually wants trash on the streets and rats everywhere here. They missed the regular trash pick up and the recycle three times in four weeks! It is no mystery why the City of San Diego uses Republic Services to pick up their own trash, because the city trash service is so unreliable!

If homeless people steal your trash cans the only assistance you can expect from our WONDERFUL city is, "would you like to give us a credit card to order another?" So, no protections for homeowners? They literally told me that their policy is to do NOTHING in these situations. SMH
