I don’t know if the reviews are due to certain people’s interactions with a specific sales rep or not. But I am very disappointed in ours. We were told that the panels being installed would be enough to power the entire house and we would only be getting a bill from the utility company for the meter. We were also told that the battery is only for back up power. Firstly, we have been getting bills from teco in the hundreds of dollars every month since installation. While the battery is served as back up, it depends on how you use it. Which I learned after I called the manufacturer. Sun wave didn’t explain that. How it works is the solar panels charge the battery and then provide power to the house. If the battery runs out or if you set it to stop using the battery once it reaches a certain percentage of charge, it will start pulling from the grid which is why I was still getting charged.
It’s very troubling that this was not all examined to me when the sales rep was in my house. Also on the better business bureau, their accreditation is suspended pending a review. Make sure you do your research! They don’t know the product they are selling.

Reply to their reply: seeing as how you are only telling part of the story allow me to clarify. We did not download the app until Rafael told us too about 1.5 months ago. We did not change any of the settings in the app. And if you automatically placed it in back up mode, why was I still getting billed? Do not come here and tell me what I had the settings on for the battery when we found out about it recently and made no changes to it. Which furthers explains the ineptitude of your company explaining everything when the sale was occurring and failure of the technicians coming out.

The staff is friendly and helpful but the solar panel system does NOT deliver as promised. I got the panels installed around Oct 2023 and it was not until around February 2024 that I saw the bill go down to an expected amount however it was short lived as it only lasted for three months. Once May 2024 came, the bill went back up to over $300 and eventually to even more. I called the company to have the system checked but no changes to the bill were seeing. I called ago a few months after I was still not happy with my electric bill and although they asked for copies of electric bills, there hasn't been a follow up (2 months now). Overall, I am very disappointed with the service and the system. The app used is basic and does not clearly show if one solar panel is out. It only shows the one system is running unlike other companies.
