I am not hooked up for net-metering yet, but can provide feedback on the sales, utility, engineering and installation of this unit. I started to research solar for my Florida home about 10 years ago, it was not lucrative at that time. I was impressed with the sales info and documentation and decided to give this project a "go" status. Utility and engineering section was quick and efficient, guidance through the whole process was great. The communication and feedback from Sunergy is stellar, I have been updated daily. The Brevard Co. building permit showed up rapidly and the installation crew was here almost within a day or two. The install crew is fabulous, 3 guys completed my whole install in 1 day... literally from sun up to sun down in end July, had to be 200 degrees up on the metal roof, and 400 degrees in the attic, they completed so much work in one day it was almost unbelievable, each doing respective jobs to the top tier. Clean up was over the top, not a speck of trash or dust left inside or out. I can't wait to get these babies fired up and see what they can produce. I can only hope to have some savings on the power side of the household bills. I appreciate each person and their attentiveness to my needs. Thank you.

TL;DR: Find a different, better solar installer.

It's rare that I give 1 star ratings to any corporation, but I feel my hand is forced here. I am a solar representative who has done door-to-door work with Sunergy as my product in the past. I have installed multiple systems in friends and family's homes with the best of intentions; Sunergy has never gotten it right (hence their rebrand to Zeo Energy as they scramble to avoid bankruptcy).

They have competitive prices and a quick and effective install strategy. Unfortunately, these things are unimportant compared to activation times and customer service after the fact. Anyone can put panels on a rooftop. In one instance, they failed to install the electrical and battery correctly and my neighbors were without power for a long time. Considering they drive 2 Teslas, this was an issue. Another instance they arrived at a family friend's house unannounced to drop off expensive equipment and no one was home at the time to sign off, plus the install took much longer than promised, which was an inconvenience to them.

Most recently, and worst of all, was the botched install for my wife's workplace superior. I met with him and his family and did an excellent job creating and proposing a system for their home. We set loose, low expectations in hopes Sunergy would exceed them. They did not. Install and activation went well, but storms brought home damage that Sunergy is refusing to address. 2 hurricanes later, this family will likely need an entire new roof, and I doubt Sunergy will do anything about it until we sue them. We will.

There are many great solar companies out there, but Sunergy is not one of them. I have never had a smooth, predictable, and effective experience with Sunergy in over a year of providing their product. My condolences to anyone stuck dealing with them before they inevitably fall out of business entirely.

EDIT: They have agreed to fully reroof my friend's home after threats of litigation, so I have added 1 star.

This company is a scam they feed you lies and promises of lower electricity bills on to have the same high bill on top of paying them for the cost. Don’t get solar not worth it at all. I called today to speak with someone about a possible leak in our roof from the solar panels as we were told the roof had warranty with the panels. I was placed on hold mid conversation then hung up on called and no one answered the call do to high call volumes. This is ridiculous and so unprofessional.

One of the salesmen was going door to door and offering solar and I thought I'd give it a burl. I ended up being buffaloed into a contract the day of or day after he came and I had to put the brakes on it a couple of months later because of a family emergency that put me in a financial position where I couldn't spend any money on anything that's not essential and I had more urgent matters to attend to than making sure everything was filled out with them.

I would keep getting at least one call a week by the salesman constantly hounding me and asking me to check the thing and sign it even though I said that I was going through a family emergency that wouldn't allow for new solar panels. He called again yesterday and today and said the same and I told him, in no uncertain terms, that I would have to cancel because of my situation.

I then got a text today saying "We are too far in the process to cancel. If you don't want to move forward there will be a fee". A fee for what? I sent no money to the company and no measurements for solar panels have been made. This is nothing but predatory sales tactics and I have made a formal complaint to the Attorney General's office regarding this demand for payment when no services have been rendered.

Sunergy (and Palmetto since that's the name they're doing business as) ought to be ashamed of themselves

Great install. Work done very professionally in the time they said. Everything was explained and they showed me the schematics of the panels and completed electrical boxes. Thanks for a smooth job well done.
