I want to share my experience with Urban Solar, which has been the worst decision I've ever made. Two years ago, we chose to install solar panels with them. During the installation, one of their workers used a chainsaw and accidentally cut through my roof, leaving a hole. Also this was confirmed by one of their own workers that came about 2 weeks ago to check my house after numerous calls I
made to one of the owner associates, Esteban...Unfortunately, they didn’t bother to patch it up.

This summer, due to heavy rains, we started noticing water coming through our kitchen lights. Soon after, mold began to appear on our walls. Now, our brand-new home is uninhabitable, with mold covering the entire second floor, and we’ve been forced to leave. Additionally, 10 of the solar panels have not been working for a full year.

Despite numerous attempts to get help, no one at Urban Solar has responded, and they have not taken responsibility for the damage or the costs involved. The lack of customer service has been appalling, and I am left with significant damage that remains unresolved.

They also ALL knew the process and reiterated it as what was going to occur moving forward.

I have had an orderly installation from Urban Solar and the power company connected it to the grid within days afterward. The city checked and approved the installation quickly. So it all went as planned. I had several quotes from other companies but settled on Urban, because they had quoted on 27 panels instead of the 22 that others had quoted. This was to compensate for not cutting any trees, which I had objected to. I liked this customization instead of just competing on price. I will be watching the performance of the system. So far, so good.

So my system has been installed for a little over a year and I got a message that the gateway is not responding shortly after called Urban solar only for them to tell me I'm on the warranty but there's going to be a $325 service charge for them to come out and I only have 5 years warranty on the gateway 25 years warranty on the panel and inverter these people are so deceptive and the system underperforms and the price of the complete system was a complete con job and rip-off!! Stay away from this company!!
