Refreshing experience with local service. From the beginning, Tropical Generator was different..... quick to respond to quotes, happy to answer questions. I was told they would arrange for all of the other subcontractors needed for my project of installing a whole house generator. And they did! And, the subs were prompt, very capable, and friendly! I kept waiting for a catch..... No catch. The project moved along smoothly, perfectly, ..... all with wanting to please me as the customer. And they did. And they continue to do so..... I signed up for their monitoring and maintenance. The generator is working perfectly. Tropical Generator continues to be a wonderful service company. I would recommend this group to ANYONE. I feel blessed to have had this company install and now monitor my generator....... a huge weight off of my shoulders!!

The entire team we dealt with from Tropical Generator in Ft. Myers was professional from top to bottom. The electricians, the gas crew, and the other employees worked together like a well-oiled machine to get our installation completed quickly and efficiently, and with an eye for every detail. I especially tip my hat to the gas guys who put in the most time on site as they were there from day one until completion finishing up final details of the installation. I highly recommend Tropical Generator. I was extremely impressed by their professionalism, knowledge, their courtesy, and their work ethic. It was a pleasure doing business with a company that still offers the kind of professionalism and service which used to be standard but is harder to find these days.

Tropical Generator did a terrific job getting my generator installed. I took bids from several companies. They clearly were the most experienced and responsive. Unlike some other companies, they undertook the entire job, including the electrical and gas piping. Others wanted me to handle subcontracting those tasks myself. In other words, they would install the generator, but it would be up to me to arrange for an electrician and get the gas line hooked up. Hhmm. It was interesting that the prices quoted by the different companies were not terribly different. After talking to several companies, it was clear that Tropical was the way to go. Tropical also did an excellent job of getting the necessary permits and had the job inspected when it was complete. I am extremely happy with the job they did and the finished product.

I am very please with the purchase of a Kohler generator from Tropical Generator. The initial meeting, project scoping, quoting and ultimately installation.....all were executed in a highly professional and competent manner. It gave me confidence when the owner of company arrived with his salesperson to introduce himself and tell me about the company.

The installation was fairly complex and challenging however, the crew was friendly, competent, professional and genuinely want to deliver a first class product.....which they did (on time and on budget, no surprise add on costs)

Both cosmetically and operationally, I am very pleased with my generator purchase from Tropical Generators. They provide top of the line installation, service and support.

Purchased a kohler generator and had it installed approximately 6 months ago. 3 weeks ago the power went out and the generator stopped working properly (no water and only half of the house had electricity). We have called repeatedly in the 3 weeks leaving messages with no response. We were able to reach Lana once who stated, “I will try to find someone to look at it.” Since then no response. We have called and left messages. Not responsive. Not professional. Poor quality.

Great installation of my Kohler generator. Very knowledgeable and pleasant staff. Since the installation was completed in June, the service and follow up has very good. I would recommend to to anyone considering a new generator.
