I would not recommend living in this community to anyone!!šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«
While the exterior and reception area may give a polished and welcoming impression, do not be fooled. The reality of living here is far from what you see on the surface. Once you move in, you’ll be greeted by mold, cockroaches, and dirt that permeates the entire building.

Starting with the ventilation system, it’s filthy, and no one ever bothers to clean or maintain it. Mold is everywhere—especially in the bathroom and toilet areas—and it spreads rapidly within just a few days. This is not caused by poor hygiene but because the mold has been living in the apartment for who knows how long. In addition to mold, expect to see cockroaches and ants that are nearly impossible to get rid of. The cockroaches spread quickly, and pest control seems to be non-existent. In my personal case, there was no pest treatment for two years in my unit, despite ongoing infestations.

Another major issue in this community is short-term rentals through Airbnb. The constant change of neighbors makes it impossible to have any peace or stability. On top of that, there is extremely poor soundproofing in these apartments. You can hear everything happening around you. To make matters worse, some kind of mechanical sensors or devices related to the air conditioning system constantly make loud knocking or banging noises during the night, either above or below your apartment. It’s impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

The water system is another disaster. Hot water is unreliable—it’s either ice-cold or takes 3 to 4 minutes to warm up. Imagine having a young child and trying to quickly wash their face in the morning—it’s unbearable to wait so long just for water to heat up. And even when the water does come out, it’s often rusty and dirty. In addition, the water pressure and flow are terrible. Water from the taps and shower sprays in all directions because the plumbing system is either old or poorly maintained.

On top of these physical issues, management is incredibly unprofessional. When I discovered the roach problem, I requested an early move-out due to my situation: I am pregnant and have a young child. Chemical treatments for the infestation are not safe for my health or my family’s. At first, one of the managers responded with understanding and even confirmed that I could move out early without penalty. However, despite submitting photos and official notice to the office via email, I never received a response for over 10 days. When I finally followed up, another manager coldly informed me that they ā€œdidn’t receive any communication,ā€ denied my request, and now demand that I pay $6,000 for breaking the lease. To make matters worse, they also refuse to return my security deposit. This is on top of the rude and dismissive treatment I received throughout the entire process.

The entire management team lacks professionalism. One manager in particular, Milagros Garcia, has an appallingly rude and disrespectful attitude. She is known in the community for being completely unprofessional and uncaring toward tenants. It’s not just her either—the staff as a whole seems to be cut from the same cloth. Expect poor communication, outright lies, and complete disregard for tenant concerns.

Be warned—they will always come up with excuses, claiming they never received your messages or didn’t hear about the issue. They will never make any concessions and will treat you horribly every step of the way. You’ll be stuck dealing with unreasonable demands and blatant disrespect, no matter the circumstances.

I would also like to attach photos showing how mold appears on various surfaces in the apartment, as well as pictures of the roach infestation. My friend, who previously lived in this community, has already left a review describing a similar experience. She even came to my apartment to see the conditions for herself and confirmed that it was the same problem she had with roaches before moving out.

DO NOT COME CLOSE TO THIS COMPLEX IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR HEALTH!!!!
Look at the reviews all reviews are about how rude the staff is and MILD ISSUES
They try to cover it up with review of 5 stars they bought but look most of the real review are all the same - horrible staff and mold that results in hospitalization!
This complex has had several issues with mold in the units, I live in an apartment with mold and they are letting me continue to live there until they come to some conclusion, they never answer the phone when you call the desk , any service report you put in takes weeks to even answer and best of all the agents at the office are rude and disrespectful , I came to complain about my mold in my apartment after my clothes and furniture have been damaged and was upset Milagros the agent raised her tone with me and basically made me feel like I have no one to talk to, and hiding the manager of the property with dear life. My family is visiting and we have all been coughing due to the issues with the mold in the apartment. I have livid in apartment complexes never in my life have a had such horrible treatment toward me or been disrespected like here ! DO NOT LIVE HERE !!!!

Worst Community Ever – Stay Away!
This is by far the worst place I have ever lived! If you’re considering moving here—DON’T! The apartments are heavily infested with roaches, and no matter how clean you keep your unit, the problem never goes away. On top of that, mold is a serious issue, and management refuses to take proper action.
To make things even worse, the office staff is incredibly rude and completely unhelpful. The manager, Milagros, is extremely rude and unprofessional—she even kicked me out of the office when I tried to address my concerns! Instead of helping residents, they dismiss complaints and treat tenants with zero respect.
And if you value a sense of community or safety, forget it! They rent out units on Airbnb, so you never know who your neighbors will be. Strangers come and go constantly, making it feel more like a hotel than a home. You can even find these apartments listed on Airbnb yourself!
Just check the other reviews—they speak for themselves. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere better to live!

Hallandale ArtSquare is an absolute joke. The management here is beyond rude and treats residents like garbage. They sent out a condescending email threatening to tow residents’ cars because the downstairs kosher restaurant owner can’t stop whining about her customers not finding parking. It’s ridiculous. There’s always plenty of parking, and residents were allowed to park there from 9 PM to 9 AM. Now, they’ve decided to change the rules to cater to businesses instead of the people who actually live here.

We pay thousands of dollars in rent every month to live in this dump, and this is how we’re treated? They clearly care more about retail customers than the people who call this place home. If you’re thinking of moving here, don’t. Management is hostile, the rules change whenever they feel like it, and you’ll constantly feel like an afterthought in your own home.

Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. Hallandale ArtSquare is the worst place I’ve ever lived.

I had an issue with my air conditioner, maintenance responded quickly and got it repaired perfectly. I don't know where the negative reviews are coming from, the maintenance team has been great. I have NEVER seen any mold, perhaps people are not cleaning their apartments properly. The pool is always beautiful, the lobby and hallways are spotless, it is a large property and they do an amazing job. I have not encountered any safety or noise issues. I love it here.

Overpriced for what they are offering compared to new offerings on the market, new apartments are competitively priced with concessions such as 2 months free look elsewhere. This is an old apartment building charging new build prices. The building is in despair. The exterior is covered in mold and mildew, when was the last time they pressure washed or painted? Maximize profits and minimize expenses at the cost of the residents. Creepy drugged out Homeless people lurk around the building.

And why you should avoid living in this building.
MOLD!!! All around the units
Read the comments below and you will understand what’s going on in those building.
I lived there for almost 4 years with 4 little kids I needed few days to recover after being kicked out the door thanks to Artsqaure management.
I knew from friends of mine that there are mold problems, residents who broke lease
because they become sick,
Other residents who moved apartments.
My son started to had symptoms of allergies more than a year ago such as running noise, watery eyes, nausea
To the point he takes weekly shots for allergies at Joe Dimagio Hospital
I complained for more than a year that we have live warms coming out of the showers every day I complained that it’s hard to breath in this apartment we have mold all around the cabinets.
No one ever came to fix it.
Few months ago my younger child started to have the same symptoms as her brother .
They used to woke up in the middle of the night stating they cannot breathe .
My kids woke up every morning with nausea and headaches
I needed to start giving my daughter medication to stop those symptoms.
I signed a new lease because I had no where to go. the management promised me they will fix the problems around the house. They didn’t.
I decided to stop paying maybe that way someone will wake up and starts taking care of it.
Of course no one did.
They started an eviction process.
I have lab results that shows CRAZY numbers of different kinds of mold in the bedrooms and inside the walls.
High level of toxic
Art square pushed me for months to the point I needed to leave because of eviction No one takes responsibility.
Mangers who screams at me .
2 sick kids.
Please please please AVOID
I brought more than 7 friends to live there and I regret that moment.
This all building needs to be close completely.
I am in contacts with lawyers and the city of Broward county.
It’s time so speak up against Artsquare

From the moment I met Property Manager Milagros Garcia, she went above and beyond to facilitate my move in process into this building. She worked with me every step of the way to ensure that I am happy and satisfied with my rental unit. Not only is she professional , but also she has amazing people skills that make me feel at home. That feeling one gets when you work with someone who really cares. thank you Milagros!

QUATER UPDATE:
Hi guys, I wanted to share an update after living here for 3 months. I've tested the water quality coming out of all faucets in my unit. The water samples read 0.00ppm and 8.5 to 10 PH. This means is 100% clean water, no heavy metals. It's pretty much alkaline water, the kind that you would pay a bunch of dollars to buy it in bottles. I cook with this water and feed it to my pets!

By the way, a good Floridian knows that here we gotta keep the AC running all the time or else the humidity will get ya-specially a place so close to the beach such as this one. OK ASQ im holding my 5 stars

Go up
