Today we had a crew from castaways energy do an install of 14 solar panel on our roof. They arrived within the time we expected. They introduced themselves and showed me what they were doing. They were friendly and professional and when finished, they took time to clean up any trash they had created. They were done very quickly and then took the time to explain the next steps which included the upcoming inspection, and then the completion by the power company.

I had an outstanding experience with Castaways Energy and their installation crew, Team Tortuga, led by Casey. They completed the entire solar system installation in just one day, which was incredibly impressive. The team was professional, respectful, and polite throughout the process.

Casey and the crew ensured everything was done to the highest standard, and they took the time to onboard me, explaining the system clearly and answering all my questions. We’re now pending inspection, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received.

Castaway energy did a phenomenal job on our installation of our Solar system. Our lead guy in the job Keith was fantastic. He kept me informed through the entire job. It took longer than expected but Keith let me know timelines and kept me in the know the whole way through. They treated my home as if it were their own. I don't give reviews unless the experience is exceptional. But I must say, I was tempted to leave multiple reviews for my experiences with Castaways Energy. -- In 2018 I purchased Tesla panels and the crew was exceptional and personable so I kept contact information just in case I needed assistance in the future. Fast forward into October 2024, I experienced significant roof damage resulting from a tornado. Tesla had a backlog with a February 2025 date to remove my panels. Tesla also informed me that in order to keep my warranty intact, I needed to use a Tesla 3rd-party partner in an emergency. So I called "T" who installed my system in 2018 and he informed me that he had recently moved onto Castaways with a few other former Tesla crew members who completed my 2018 install and that they were officially a Tesla partner and used Tesla proprietary parts and tools to ensure my 25yr warranty remained intact. I submitted an intake that evening and got a call back the next morning.

Experience-1: Taming the Beast
I have to give a special shout out to Maria who was extremely gracious dealing with me and my frantic "Karen" demands to have my questions answered and have the commitment to use everything "Tesla proprietary" and to do so in writing. I apologized to her several times, because I had been battling with insurance companies trying to get hurricane Milton adjusters and claims processed which was a 2-month nightmare. Maria was a saint and very skilled at putting the genie back into the bottle whenever I called to speak with her by accommodating my every request. She even gave me her personal cell for text and responded to me after hours due to my work schedule. She's truly the glue that makes everything stick.

Experience-2: The removal
Day-1: Garrett came to my home to assess everything that needed to be done and to review my onsite expectations. He listened carefully and took notes. I was so impressed that I kept his information for future reference in the review.
Day-2: I did not get the name of this crew but I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, efficiency, courtesy and expediency of my solar panel removal.The crew had a late start because they were ensuring all Tesla tools were at my home prior to starting the work. My panels were stored in a neat, orderly and professional way, the 8yr old equipment was bound together and looked as if it were brand new equipment pending a first-time install. Upon leaving, they asked if I were happy and if there was anything else they could do, "our goal is to please the customer." What? I've never heard that before! Five-Stars for this crew!

Experience-3: The re-installation
Kevin showed up at my door and it was obvious that he read the "Karen" memo about me because it was very cold and he was wearing a Tesla jacket. I asked him if the crew would be using Tesla equipment and he stated that they would be. When he asked me about the original install, it became apparent that he was with Tesla at the time I purchased and installed my system. We later learned that he was my electrician, which gave me assurance that everything would be perfect. Later in the day "T" showed up and told me that things were moving faster than expected and everything looked good. -- I contacted Maria to get the name of the crew so that I could leave a review upon completion of the work and learned that I had a hybrid crew. Part of the crew was lead by Keith and the other lead by Casey. I assured Maria that I would note this in the review. -- Upon completion, Kevin reviewed the active system readings with me and made sure all my questions were answered. Keith gave me tips and suggestions on having my panel cleaned properly. Daniel chimed in with suggestions too.

If I could give 10-Stars I would. This is the longest, most meaningful and heartfelt review that I've ever submitted.
