The homeowner and I received the runaround from FPL Engineers for well over 2 months. The task was simple...move the tension wire in order for me to complete the fence job.
Hopefully, Devon will get the things moving.

They transferred an account from 6 years ago with Gulf Power on my current account without notifying me via phone, via email or even by mail. My account with Gulf Power was disconnected six years ago. Without an outstanding balance. Threaten to cut my service off at my current address that was up to date. If I didn’t pay the ā€œsupposedlyā€outstanding amount from Gulf Power.
When I called the first representative she was very rude and could not give me an explanation of the Gulf power account. Then I talk to a supervisor , he was nice, but he couldn’t tell me or show proof of the outstanding balance with Gulf Power. I wasn’t even notified of the outstanding balance when I set up the service with FPL at my new address and I’ve been here almost 2 years. I don’t understand how they can get away with this. They don’t even deserve a 1 star.

FPL reported my wife to a collection agency for "non payment". When we contacted FPL, they said they had no idea what it was because all of our bills were paid as agreed so they told us to contact the collection service. FPL automatically withdraws payments from our account and they had just withdrawn the current months payment from our account...

When we called the collection agency, they gave us an address of one of our rental properties where the power had been on about a year earlier. The power had been on for about six months. Apparently one month, they mailed it to the wrong address, so we didn't get that bill. However, we got all other bills for that property and paid on time. For some reason, they never added the old amount on that one bill to the other bills we received. They just decided to put it as a collection of her account and hurt her credit. What a terrible company...

Maybe a class action law suite is in order?

I am incredibly frustrated with the ongoing issues regarding your power outage services. While I understand that outages happen, the delays in restoring power have become unacceptable. For example, you recently announced a planned outage, stating that power would be restored within a few hours. It has now been much longer than the time you promised, and I am still waiting for my power to return. This is not the first time I’ve experienced extended delays, with past outages lasting days or even weeks. Your lack of urgency and clear communication leaves customers like me feeling neglected. I urge you to improve your restoration process and provide accurate updates so we can plan accordingly. This is a basic service we are paying for, and it’s disappointing to feel like reliability is not a priority. Please address this issue and ensure timely resolutions going forward.

Out of all the places I have lived and all the power companies I've been with, thus power company, FPL is the absolute worst. They have horrible customer service, they are very uncompassionate towards their customers needs and will turn off power without even waiting a whole month of it being overdue. They will send you no notice in the mail before they turn off your power. They will just turn your power off without written notice. Very unprofessional in their business practices. They have been unethically raising rates and families are suffering because of it. Our society is having the worst money inflation, meanwhile FPL is raising their rates every year and turning off families power within less then month month of payment. No grace. No care. Should be shutdown. We miss Gulf Power. When we had EREC, they worked with customers and cared about them. Let's shut FPL down. They just want your money, and they will keep raising rates. These are the kinds of businesses we need to get out of our country. Criminals!

I would give zero stars if I could. This company reaches into the wallets of every house it services just to suck it dry. Instead of having any options, I am stuck with this monopolized corporation that has the freedom and luxury to set their own rates. Rates that have only continued to get higher. I look forward to the day I get to leave this god awful company behind me and my family.

The Representative was rude. I was told I can only use the debit card phone speed pay 3 times in a row. I didn’t now that cause for years I used speed pay and paid the extra $2.25. Some customers don’t have transportation to pay at Walmart. It’s not what you say it’s how you say.The person tone I didn’t like. They know we can’t transfer to another power company!!! That’s why customers get mistreated. Lights get cut off over $2. Every month my bill is $500 or $600. We pay then next month it $590 -600 what’s going on. A 3 bedroom apartment not a house.

Florida Power & Light is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life! I moved here from Colorado and set up my account and somehow FPL has my information all wrong. They have cut off my power twice in the last three months and when I try to pay my bill, all I get is a recording and they say I don’t have the correct account number. I don’t have the correct Social Security number. I don’t have the correct phone number. I’ve just spent the last two hours trying to pay my bill and have had no success, I am beyond frustrated. These guys suck so bad. Else said if I could give them zero stars I would
