Found Dr. Cox through my Medicare Advantage plan, after I learned my insurance covered acupuncture. Karen was excellent in listening to the various problems I had been experiencing... chronic low back pain, sinus headaches behind my left eye, and various muscle issues, and she then explained what she would be doing, as I had never been to an acupuncturist and was a bit apprehensive.
Not only has my low back improved, but after the 2nd visit I realized that I no longer had the sinus headache problem that had been bothering me for months!
Although initially skeptical, I now fully recommend acupuncture and the Cairn Clinic, specifically, as having made significant improvements to my overall health.

Dr. Cox,
Took her time to listen to my concerns and address my most pressing issue during our first appointment. She explained thoroughly was was going to take place. Very calm atmosphere, clean and soothing. She is gentle and it’s all about the patient’s comfort and well being. During the treatment I fell into a deep sleep and felt so good afterwards. I like the fact that it is a holistic approach incorporating massage, acupuncture, diet, herbs and stretching. I was concerned because the drive is far for me, but after my first treatment it’s worth the drive.

My 1st round of acupuncture was a great experience, little or no pain with the needles, I was in a soothing environment, and the Doctor explained everything she was going to do so that I was completely comfortable before she started. Dr Cox offered me several choices of treatment and some self therapy, all of which, I believe, are helping me to feel better every day. The cost of my treatments are very reasonable, I will continue my treatments at the Cairn Clinic and would recommend it for anybody who wants to feel good again.
