I applied for an apartment back in December for a move in date in Feb. a week before my move they told me it wouldn’t be ready and they needed to change the move in date. That was already costing me more money for my storage and where I am currently staying. I asked to pick up my keys Monday morning. They couldn’t accommodate the earl pick up time for me that day and instead decided to give me the key earlier….i should’ve taken that as a red flag. Not even moved in and I found roaches in my apartment. The apartment was obviously not cleaned nor was it even painted. The manager tried to say it was exterminated and that’s why the roaches were out. Supposedly, they don’t have any other apartments available. I don’t believe it. They knew they would have a problem with me as a tenant and decided to let me out of my lease and returned my money. RUN! Do not walk!

Lived here for a few months now and I’m very happy. The neighbors are nice, maintenance is good and everyone in the office is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this complex to anyone who is searching for housing!

I found a hidden gem smack dab in the middle of it all! Discovery Palms is a small, friendly, and diverse community of young families, professionals and our most valued members of the community, our pets! There is a pet friendly, community vibe here where people are friendly to one another and respect each other's property and privacy. We have both renters and owners here at Discovery Palms which creates a little different sense of community than some other places I've lived. There's a great management team of responsive professionals, and the maintenance team is first rate! We also have some great amenities like a beautiful pool, fitness center, package room, and even on property security! I definitely recommend this property even though I want to keep it all to myself! Welcome Home!

I’ve lived here for 4 years now. I can say this property is beautiful. The only thing that maddens me is that they don’t clean the breezeways in the buildings. Once in these 4 years have they been cleaned. I would also be mad if I lived by the pool because it can get very loud at times and at all hours. However, the grounds are well maintained. People are quiet and respectful. I feel safe letting my children outside. We have had a couple of hurricanes here and minimal damage. It’s immediately cleaned up. I rent from a private owner not the main office but they are always super nice, and accommodating. I’ve never stayed at an apt this long. It’s just super convenient to everything. Stores very close near by. Even in walking distance. The schools around are okay, they aren’t the best or the worst. Bus drops off right outside the complex. I can also add the gate is a nightmare. 90% of the time it won’t open for guest or DoorDash orders. On a rare occasion it works for me. I have had my account looked at number changed, same issue. Packages don’t get stolen from your house. I haven’t seen or heard of any break ins here. I can’t comment on maintenance since I do not deal with them, but they are always out and about and it does appear they are in fact working.

I moved into these apartments in the beginning of April 2018 and had nothing but issue after issue with this apartment. Later I found out the girl who lived there before me had the EXACT same problems, so apparently they just put bandaids on things rather than fix them. We had the bath tub faucet leak, the pipes under the sink needed cleaned out by a plumber because the people upstairs dumped grease down the sink, the fridgerator was broken from the day we moved in on a Thursday to a Tuesday, the shower faucet was leaking, the air conditioner condensation line backing up and dripping water into the apartment, my washer broke because they painted the inside of the drum and it started chipping off. I called at NOON because my air conditioner wasn’t working in the 99 degree heat and they come check it out and at 230 called their contractor to come look at it and he says it’s too late in the day so they’re going to put a portable window unit in my family room until he can come out THE NEXT DAY. Our air conditioner made a drumming noise every once in awhile and they would have to come use a vacuum to suck the condensation out. They also told us to put vinegar down the little valve once a month. When I called because the sink was backed up I was told it wasn’t an emergency and I could use the other side of the sink. The management is a joke, if you babysit anyone’s pets, be ready to get a phone call and be told your not allowed to have anyone’s pets over. And then you pay pet rent every month so at the end when you move out they can charge you $120 extra because the carpet needs cleaned. I had our apartment professionally cleaned before moving out so I know that’s BS. The only positive was Rey the maintenance guy and Denise in the office. The rent is ridiculous for the type of apartment you get. When you go to the pool be ready for cigarette butts and people playing annoying music out loud for everyone to hear. The pool is also never cleaned and not heated. The gate breaks all the time and it takes forever to get fixed, so while the gate is broken there is no parking because people park wherever. If you live below someone be prepared to hear every single noise. Them walking, them opening their drawers and cabinets, their pets running, them peeing in their toilet. The walls are paper thin. My advice is don’t waste your money. I will never rent from this management company again.

Discovery Palms appears to be a declining community. Management is unresponsive to tenants requests. It is dirty; and they aren’t overly concerned with tenant safety or other issues with this property. There are many other nice communities in this area, that are newer, clean, and have modern amenities. Recommend passing on this property.

I had the pleasure of living here for almost a year. Probably the best thing about the community is the people who work there. Lauren and Denise are truly amazing at the front desk. They were so kind and helpful from the day I arrived til the day I had to leave. I can't say enough nice things about them. The maintenance team is also very quick to respond and kind as well. The couple of times I needed to put in a work order they were there within an hour and resolved the issues within minutes. It may not be the newest of apartments but the place is very well taken care of and even has renovated units. If I were able to stay in the area longer I would have definitely remained at discovery palms. If you have the opportunity to stay here you'll really enjoy it. Barely heard any noise while I was living here and it is located in a really convenient and safe neighborhood. If you're looking for a spot in this area, this is a great place to stay and Lauren and Denise from the management team will do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your experience. They're the best!

I have been living here for 7 years and love it. The office ladies are absolutely wonderful and so efficient with any problems I have. The staff are always very friendly and resolve issues in a very professional and timely manner. They have been very efficient in keeping everyone updated on changes happening in the complex, and keeping the resident safe whether hurricanes or simply checking on fire extinguishers. This gated community is a place that I have always felt safe living at. I have and will continue to recommend this complex to anyone looking due to the wonderful staff and safe community. 10/10 would recommend.
