I asked them to do some work for me to update our home. They provided a quote requesting half up front and estimated that it would take around 6 weeks because they were quite busy.

Several months later, after refusing to reply to any messages and phone calls, they finally provided their first attempt at a design. The builder said that it was not buildable, to which they replied (to him) - "we took a path that was safest for us, without regard to what you or your client needed." They told me by email that they wouldn't release the final drawings to the builder until I paid the remaining balance. I paid immediately. They promised to redo the drawings to be buildable. Again, they refused to respond to messages and phone calls that were asking the new status of the work that had now been paid for in total.

Finally, I called them directly and asked to speak to the principal engineer, who I had never spoken to directly. I was told by the receptionist that he was in, and I was put on hold. During the hold I listened to their self-promoting ad that said how great they are at communication. When the receptionist came back to the phone, she told me that he wouldn't talk to me, only to my contractor.

Admittedly, I lost it, and said that they would next talk to my lawyer. They sent back my check and cancelled the contract immediately. I do appreciate the check. But, I have run my own businesses for over 50 years and I understand that communication with clients (the person who pays) is essential to business.

They cost me months of time and direct out-of-pocket costs with an architect who was also working on the project and needed their work. In the end, I ran out of time and gave up on doing the engineering modifications that I wanted.

In summary, they commit to doing work that they do not have either the time or interest in doing. They are horrible at communication and I would strongly suggest that you avoid doing business with them. They owed me not just a refund, but an apology that was never received.

I can only assume that they are young, arrogant and do not understand their reliance on customers to have a business.

Do not call this company, they will schedule you an appointment but then two days before thy are supposed to come out, they’re cancel on you claiming that the engineer is book out for months at a time when they could of called and told you that from the beginning, I lost a whole day worth of pay but they didn’t even give a care, not a very good company to do business with. And they never did call to reschedule or anything so bad.

The only reason I give them one star is there are no options to leave zero or negative stars. Jason Short was the most unprofessional and arrogant business person I have ever dealt with. Do whatever you need to do but do not hire this company!

I WOULD GIVE THEM A ZERO OR -10 IF I COULD. ALL THE BAD REVIEWS HERE ARE VERY, VERY CORRECT. PLUS CHARGES STUPID $$$ FOR ENGINEERING USING MATERIALS THAT ARE NOT EVEN MADE ANYMORE ~~ RUN, RUN & RUN !!!!!
