Ameren is always asking for customer feedback, pretending to care about the service that is provided. However when we informed Ameren that my husband had stage 4 liver cancer the first day we met with the Ameren representative, no consideration was given to the urgency of our situation.
My husband's goal was to see that he got us into our home before he died. Thanks to Ameren, he could not keep that promise.
We first requested Ameren's help on May 5, 2021. Almost 2 months later we were still waiting to get electricity installed. Finally on July 1, 2021 when the pole was installed, I was told that the electricity would be put in the next week. All throughout July we waited for service that should have been installed a month ago. Even after I told Ameren on July 16 that my husband would be going into hospice care, I was told by Ameren that they may not even be able to install the week of July 26, 2021 because they had training to do that week.
The electricity was connected to my house July 27, 2021. I feel that it only occurred at this time because after my husband died July 22, 2021 my daughter -in-law called and complained. I could have had weeks with my husband in our new home. Instead, only after his death was Ameren able to help. Obviously compassion for customers is not a priority.
