Our family loves the Historic Red Rooster. We were all so thrilled when it was restored and reopened. I couldn't wait to be able to spend the night there. I had a wonderful room on the ground floor that was perfect for my stay. It was in this past week and it was cold, but the room stayed nice and warm...and oh... by the way...the floor tile in the bathroom is heated.
It was so quiet, I wondered if I was the only one there. But stepping out into the hall and lobby early the next morning, there were a lot of people there.
We did not eat in the restaurant downstairs, but I have eaten there when it first opened and had a great meal. They seemed to have a good crowd both nights I was there.
Congratulations to the new owners. They did an amazing job. I watched the outside progress these past few years and now am even more impressed with the inside.

The other reviews of this place are outdated. It has been fully renovated and is beautiful. Bar, restaurant and games in the basement with various areas to sit. Very friendly, welcoming staff. The whole facility was clean and beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed. Local business items like soap/lotion in the bathroom and other amenities from local places. If you have reason to be in Hillsboro or are driving through this is a beautiful place that is updated, but you still enjoy the historical feel of the building.

Great Hotel with a restaurant and brewery right in downtown Hillsboro. The rooms have all been recently renovated and look great. The bed was comfortable and they had a few free snacks in our room from local stores that was a nice touch.

This place is so wonderful I don't want to tell the world! But I will. Can't wait to have a reason to return. The details of every part of the Inn and our stay were heartwarming and in line with my values, like the locally sourced coffee and treats in the room and the wonderful organic bed linens and natural soaps. THIS IS ADORABLE. We are so impressed with how it was renovated and everything is exquisitely decorated. Every need was anticipated. There are even cute little snacks to welcome you and ACTUAL COFFEE instead of a Keurig or something. 10/10 would recommend and we will stay here again when we come back. Wow.

Neat, clean, historical hotel. No nonsense access, check-in and check-out in a great little smalltown downtown. Brewery had great beer, food and recreation facilities.

We had a sample size of all 9 beers. Two were not drinkable, 2 were just ok, the rest were pretty good. Since they have the sample size for $2 they don't really want to pour you a taste.
Then they didn't have the appetizer we wanted.
Doubt we'll go back.
