I had an amazing time living at Solstice. The facilities are impeccable and maintained to the highest quality level. The common areas are super comfortable and always sparkling clean. Even if half of the credit for this amazing experience goes to the facilities themselves, at least half definitely goes to Juaria and the entire team for their exceptional work and dedication. Their friendliness and attention to every single detail truly makes the Solstice experience outstanding! Thank you so much for such a welcoming home!

Let me make this clear: I am EXTREMELY nitpicky with apartments and have extremely high standards. Solstice on the Park exceeds all of my expectations.

The common areas and hallways are spotless and consistently maintained. There are three very fast elevators. Maintenance responds very quickly (within a day), and the workers are nice and helpful. Maintenance requests are made via a convenient app. Management and front desk staff are also nice and accommodating. If something is wrong with your apartment (e.g. previous tenant left a nasty sticker in your shower, or you prefer non-motion sensing lights in your closet), the staff will fix/change those things for you, or they may give you an option to purchase replacements and have them installed by the maintenance team. Kitchen appliances and in-unit washer/dryer are high quality and top notch. The design choices in the units are very smart (e.g. smoke alarm is not too close to the kitchen). There is central heat/AC. The bathroom lighting is great and the fan is very effective (I take HOT showers and there is barely any evidence of it with this fan) while being very quiet. The shower is built with real tile. All cabinets have soft-close, and so does the closet door. The place is less than a block away from the nearest Metra train station. The units have big, beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to take in the views of Chicago (I recommend a north-facing unit to get a view of downtown). Utilities are included in the rent and are flat-rate, so you will have no hassle of creating gas/water/electricity accounts and paying separate bills. You can take long showers and turn up your heat/AC without incurring additional costs. The parking structure is clean, and there are many spaces available, with higher levels having more spaces. I love the flexibility with lease times: you can sign a 3-month lease, a 3-year lease, and many things in between. So if you’re a student, you may have fewer worries about subletting over the summer. The complex offers a ton of safety features, including: 24/7 front desk staff monitoring who enters/leaves, secure package room, keys required to access all possible entries, common areas, and gym, and strong (not flimsy) front doors with legitimate locks.

It’s an incredible, well-maintained, modern apartment complex with high end appliances, finishes, and features, and hardworking management and maintenance teams. You will not feel any mental burden of living in an apartment here, as issues are fixed promptly by warm, helpful individuals. As long as you communicate what you need, maintenance and management are there to make it right.

This is a luxury apartment complex, and the rent is expensive. But, if you are able to afford it, know that you are going to receive a genuinely amazing product. You will not be paying expensive rent to live somewhere where the “landlord” changes every few months, and you will have constant maintenance issues because cheap renovations were done to an old, out of date building that was designed by someone with no brain cells. Solstice on the Park is a quality home worthy of being classified as a high-end “luxury” apartment. I’m so happy and lucky to be able to call Solstice home!

Moving into Solstice on the Park apartment community has been a very positive experience for us. We moved in this past October of 2024. A HUGE shout out to Juaria Shelton. She has done an amazing job of making us feel welcome and at home. Kudos also to Melanie, Antonette and the ENTIRE front desk team. Last but not least, the maintenance team does an incredible job of keeping the building and common areas immaculate. We’re so appreciative of everyone and absolutely love calling Solstice on the park home!

As a septuagenarian who desires security and appreciates location and beauty, SOP apartments are perfect. Overlooking the park and the lake, it offers an easy walk to mass transit and shopping with museums nearby. The building is an architectural landmark and the apartments are nicely appointed. I am very happy renting there.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. The rent is way to expensive to be in an undesirable location within a very undesirable neighborhood. The building is infested with cockroaches and the hallways smell like marijuana. Do not be fooled by the nice interiors and modern amenities. You will always hear the noise of construction and the elementary school.

Solstice on the Park has been a wonderful experience. We recently moved in and appreciate the attention to detail, cleanliness, maintenance and communication. Juaria is an absolute delight and truly cares about the Solstice community and quality of living in this building. It is a rarity to find managers that are so invested and are able to successfully navigate all of the challenges that come with the role. Our apartment is beautiful with views of Museum and lake, the amenities are up-to-date, every single concierge and person working at Solstice is friendly and helpful going above and beyond. We don't plan on moving anytime soon.

I lived at solstice on the park for three years and ended up having a frustrating experience with their management. When I moved out, I returned both the door key and garage transponder as required. However, I continued to receive a bill for parking the next month. Despite emailing the manager and confirmed that I returned everything, and being assured that the issue would be resolved, I received a debit collection call a year later. After contacting Solstice again, they provided a screenshot showing the balance was removed, but I still received calls from the debt collector and decreased credit score. Attempts to resolve this with Solstice were unhelpful; the building manager cannot help any further and the regional manager, Robert Green, did not respond to my emails. Ultimately, I had to handle the dispute with the credit reporting bureau myself. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and stressful.
