I'm Japanese.
I thought the rent was too high even then, so I think it would be very unlivable in 2023. The dorm itself is in good condition.
The heating is quite strong and the plumbing is poorer than in Japan, but I think this is due to cultural differences.

Not ideal. Weirdly shaped. Inconvenient accessibility. Dramatic indoor outdoor temperature differences. Too far from main campus. Double rooms are very cramped. It’s OK overall though. Photo is of typical student used restroom.

It's kinda nice living here, but sometimes there are some people (aka Will, Sophia, Ella, Lucas, Pat, Brad, Chris, and Tiffany) who really steam my beans. I feel like I should be allowed to feel safe in my own home without having to cry myself to sleep. Sadly, this is not the case because I have people knocking on my door 24/7 asking to see me and sometimes I'm like nah that ain't it. However the vibes are very nice sometimes. The place gets very cold though and I need multiple blankies to sleep at night. This is my humble abode for two years but I will be gone the next, sadly. Send my regards to Kenyatta, Craig, Quest, Via, Tessa, and Jelani. They are all very nice people. Definitely makes this place amazing.
