I own an auto body shop down in Florida, and we've been using them for a long time now. I recently had the driver who was picking up my waist barrel today tell me that this company subcontracts his company to come out and pick those barrel up. With this company here I'm paying $385 for them to pick up this barrel, but the driver told me that if I use his company directly I'd only have to pay $192. Meaning they charged me just over double for them to just simply make a phone call and schedule a pickup date. An absolute rip-off, and I will let everybody know what happened.

Update, about two hours ago I posted this. Environmental marketing services emailed me and apologized and said that the driver misspoke and does not know anything about the pricing and how it works. I asked them if they could send me an email showing me what they paid to have this other company come out and pick up the barrel from me, and they refused to provide any receipts or tell me how much they paid. I understand businesses have to make a markup on services, but not more than double what I could have paid the original carrier to do the job for me. This place is robbing people blind and I suggest everybody uses someone else closer to them.

Environmental Marketing Services (EMS) was a fantastic company to work with! They always had an extremely quick response time to emails, returned a quote ridiculously fast, and had reasonable prices. I'm very impressed by them. One aspect that I'm specifically pleased by was their "turn-key" prices. There were no hidden fees or anything like that. They were very honest and open about their costs, and stuck to them. If you need hazardous waste removed, this is the company to use!

EMS is the lowest cost, most responsive hazardous materials disposal firm I have ever worked with. As the manager of over a half-dozen laboratories, I was spending thousands upon thousands per year working with local HAZMAT companies to dispose of less than 20L of waste every quarter. We were being forced to pay ludicrous fees as the local providers would charge us for hauling in NE, then charge us fees to truck it to IA for holding, then charge us again for hauling from storage in IA back to NE for disposal.
EMS makes it cheap and easy (And trust me, while we do not have a lot of waste, what we do have is NASTY stuff you do not want out in the environment!). I fill out a pick up form, they send me a quote, I process that and return it, and they schedule pick-up. That simple. They even provide me with proper containers to place my waste in further streamlining pick up.

Sure, one would think it would be easier and cheaper to deal with a local based firm, but facts are facts. EMS is hands down the cheapest, easiest disposal company to deal with...and that frees up my time and my budget to do the most important part of my job: helping ensure a high quality college education for my students in state-of-the-art facilities.

All in all the best waste disposal firm for a laboratory setting in my opinion.

This company handles all of our hazardous waste needs at River City Custom Cabinetry. They have superior communication their office, our office and the drivers who pick up our waste. They are always on time and we have never had an issue. Its a little chaotic and busy here at RCCC and they understand that and always keep up with asking if we have any waste to be picked up and stay on me until I respond and for that I am greatly appreciative. They always beat me to requesting service. : )
