The bathroom pics and laundry room pics the management company have posted on the Victorian, are not the real pictures that is at The Victorian, that's 1st!!! Don't be deceived , 2nd. I've lived at this building for almost 10 years. There has been not 1 dime put into the upkeep in of this building. No real money is being put into the repairs of this building, the laundry room washers and dryers have not been properly working since I've lived here. The issue with the washers and dryers is that they are trying to save money so they made sure the machines doesn't dish out enough water so after the wash , your clothes still have an odor. The mold issue has been going on for years until our newest manager came to fix the mold. However units still have mold til this day. I seen a mold repair van downstairs, fyi. Mold just really grows back tho..it is permanent ... There is constantly new charges every year , whether that be from them forcing us to pay and extra $50-75 Comcast fee that was basically forced on us to purchase and was told we had no choice, the very manipulative way they try to make us resign our lease months prior to our actual lease expiring so they can secure that money for another 12 months. , don't let the beautiful flowers 🌹 in front of the building and the nice flat screen TV downstairs in our lobby fool you. This place is a dump. And I mean that with my every being. If your thinking about leasing out of this building, RUN FORREST, RUN. And there's more. The plumbing is horrible, you flush the toilet and you hear the pipes move , kitchen cabinets falling down, I seen mice , roaches, critters, there's an Ant problem, the carpet in the hallways are horrible, spotted out. Don't y'all lease from here. I would not lie about this. I hate that I've had to live here this long. The plumbing had the whole building smelling like poop.

I’ve had a great experience with the scholars corner staff so far. Janette gave me a tour and helped me secure the apartment and was so kind, patient, and helpful throughout the process. Jeremy, the maintenance man, is also great. He is very kind, respectful and helpful and tended to my requests very quickly

The property manager, Marcella H. (giving Vivica Fox vibes), is on top of her game at The Victorian Apts. She gave my agent and me an excellent tour of a studio apartment.

Remarkably, the studio is not only clean and modern but also comes at a super affordable price. It's a financial relief for a student, bachelor, or workaholic saving money for a down payment.

It's close to the lake, trendy restaurants, and beautiful people. Everything you could ask for except for parking—LOL.

Parking is another issue; after all, this is Hyde Park.

The property manager Melissa was always a joy. She did her job and did it well. She took all concerns seriously & responded in a timely manner. The new property manager is rude. He talks down to you & raises his voice. There were several mold issues in the apartment. The maintanence guy would just come clean it & paint over it. It came back every 1-2 months with no real solution. There was no 24 hr maintanence. Maintanence left at 12pm Mon - Fri & was off on Saturdays & Sundays. If you wanted something done, you had to work around HIS schedule regardless of what you had to do. Corporate did not answer the phone or call back regarding mold when name & # were left on voicemail. There were strict rules made that weren't necessary. The washers & dryers were never thoroughly cleaned. People left their dog's and cat's hairs in the washers & dryers. People left their clothes in the washer & dryer machine hours after the timer went off. The washers & dryers were always out of service, or they took your money more than once due to machine errors. The machines would be out of service for weeks or months at a time before anything was done to fix them. Clothes came out smelling like urine. It was horrible. There were roaches in the lobby of the building. The inspector said centipedes come out the drains & did nothing to resolve this issue. There were huge centipedes. The building has security cameras in the main areas of the building & on floors 2-5. No cameras on the first floor where the apartments are. Moving there in the beginning, people were stealing packages. Nothing was done about this even with cameras in the lobby.

I really love live here , it is near of Bus , Metro , Target, Starbucks , Whole foods, Marshals, Dress 4 Less and for a amazing breakfast "Valois".

About apartment I like that I can order something online and we have the service of Parcel and always the packages are there . Electricity , Gas and Water are included and we have washers and dryers inside the building

Marcella gives me an excellent attention to start leasing here. The place is excellent, I just have a few days but I love being here
