There are 10 miles of trails in the Nolde Forest with several starting points on both Rt 625 and Oregon Road. The short North Pond Loop (see picture) is just off Church Road.
While this is mostly a hiking park, you could try to catch one of the education programs.
Then you might picnic at the sawmills 2 tables, or one of the several more by the environmental education hall, but that area has an "all out by 4PM" sign.
The Nolde Mansion can be toured once a month. You might want to do that sooner than later. Originally constructed with details throughout, most would be impossible to replace if they were to wear out or become damaged. (See picture of a pie holding chef handle for the kitchen).

Beautiful trails all year round - Lots of evergreens makes a perfect winter hike. Nolde Mansion is a sight you must see, and is open during the weekdays if you want to go inside.

The hiking here is pleasant, especially in the morning. Getting a parking spot to go hiking in Nolde forest can be a bit troublesome, but if you manage to land a spot, you will have a wonderful experience at this scenic location.

We love hiking at Nolde Forest! There are miles of trails that are very family and beginner friendly. The Watershed trail is beautiful year round, and the Coffee Pot Hollow Trail is another favorite of ours. The park service does an open house of the beautiful Nolde Mansion once a month (usually the first Sunday) which involves activities and crafts for kids. This state park is a gem!

Nolde Forest is a wonderful place to explore and connect with nature. Turtles and butterflies are some of the local residents. Great place to visit no matter what the season and don’t forget to bring your camera.

Never have been so disrespected at 7am while hiking by the "officer" here.... I suggest finding another place to hike... Simply not worth dealing with the stewards of this awesome preserve... Pennsylvania deserves better.

Great place to hike and observe nature. Trails are not too difficult, so you can take your kids. Ticks are usually worse than in other places in the area, so be prepared for that.
