Ivy is one of the worst out there. The management treats tenants as their enemies and they don't even do the bare minimum to maintain their buildings. There is a burst pipe in my building that has not been fixed for 2 years, the bike room is constantly flooded during the winter. The glass door of the building is on the edge of collapsing and taking the elevator feel like being in a horror movie. I lived in one of their buildings for 2 years and rent was $1k for a studio with no sunlight. The housing industry standard in Hyde Park is really depressing, this company wouldn't survive if being put anywhere else.

The residents are quiet, professional people. The building is clean. However the building managers and leasing “specialist” are highly unprofessional and retaliatory. It’s a struggle to get anyone on the phone. It’s a shame the unprofessional behavior and lack of communication caused us to buy somewhere else in the neighborhood sooner than we would have preferred.

A horrendously mismanaged building from the first day we moved in. The apartment was NOT cleaned before move-in: sticky surfaces, dead roaches and bugs, dust everywhere. The fridge has been leaking water for THREE WEEKS and has NOT been repaired despite multiple work orders. Both elevators have been down, one for over a month, the other for two weeks. Extremely slow maintenance response, no sense of urgency at all from the management of this building.
