SCT, a/k/a, South Central Transit for public transportation. This is the way to fly! Considering fuel prices these days I find SCT great for traveling about and visiting parts unknown! I am able to sight see and familiarize myself with a City having both hands free! All the while "going green(ecologically sound)"!
Greyhound Terminal connection inside McDonald's! I'm lovin' it!

Both times I've had the opportunity to ride to medical appts with SCT, I have been impressed with the cleanliness of the bus, the attention to safety detail, professionalism and the incredible gentleman (both times) who drove the bus. He is what makes the Rides so smooth and pleasant. Exceptional service like no other!! Highly recommend this service and this driver (I wish I remembered his name, but perhaps you know of whom I speak.)

They take their mission statement seriously and truly to heart! They are the nicest group of individuals ever assembled under any one company organization. They are the safest way to travel anywhere and especially in Mount Vernon Illinois!
I’ve been a client since 2000 and have never ever had a bad experience. They are cleaner than any cab company could even hope to be. I’ve taken the public demand for 19 years and the shuttle for 18 months and any or all drivers could very well be The Employee Of The Month because they are kind, thoughtful, considerate, and treat everyone with dignity!
It’s been an honor just to know anyone associated with South Central Transit, they are truly head and shoulders above any other means of transportation in Southern Illinois!

Bus drivers are very nice, Cheap so it helps those who don't have money or can't afford a taxi. Also clean peaceful.

Although I have never used SCT, I do know that they provide a necessary and valuable service to those in need of transportation. The small communities served by SCT are fortunate that this option exists. The price is amazingly affordable. And you can't beat front door service!
