Asiyah has been such a pleasure to work with as my registered dietician. She has such a strong passion for helping her clients and truly meets you where you are at each session in a nonjudgmental manner. What took me by surprise was how much she was able to enhance the quality of my life in general by helping me implement various strategies. I first started working with Asiyah in 2011 after being discharged from partial hospitalization for anorexia. For the next few years, I worked with her while I attended college out of state to ensure I did not relapse. I finally became comfortable enough to pursue a healthy lifestyle utilizing the skills and knowledge she taught me. I had been maintaining my weight for years thanks to Asiyah.

In August of 2020, I contacted Asiyah after struggling with being underweight again and knew my husband and I wanted to begin trying for our first child. In November of 2020, I became pregnant with our first child and Asiyah was with me every step of the way. She continues to work with me on realistic goals and ensure I have a healthy pregnancy. I am due in July of 2021 and I have felt great overall! There are days when my body image is not the best, but more days than not I feel strong, healthy, and like I am already caring for my son. Asiyah has been able to address my questions and concerns, as well as provide education throughout my pregnancy. She is always transparent, caring, non-judgmental, and direct without being abrasive. I have always felt comfortable with her, as evidenced by my initiative to return to her for assistance during pregnancy.

Asiyah is an amazing Dietian! I have been referred and turned down by many places before finding dietRD, and felt a little lost in recovering from anorexia. After my first sessions I immediately felt helped and supported! She is very uplifting and supporting during the whole process. She helps in every aspect of recovering, and ensuring the best for each client. Because of her help I definitely feel I am getting my life that I want back, and healing my relationship with food and mind to become stronger. I am able to attend social gatherings and become closer with my family now that I don’t have to worry about my eating disorder!
