The State Unit on Aging worked with the BBB on the annual Elder Justice Training on November 6, 2024. The BBB provided advertising for the training. We absolutely loved the graphics and brochures the BBB created for the event. The BBB is an active supporter for Elder Rights and an active member of the Nebraska Elder Rights Coalition. We look forward to continued work with the BBB to bring awareness and resources that improve the lives of Nebraska senior citizens.

Reported a complaint with the BBB. While I know they cannot take legal actions, they let the contractor lie and manipulate them and they were quick to mark the matter resolved even though we had proof and submitted it wasn't resolved. This contractor falsely represented he was a member of the BBB when he wasn't. He also misrepresented 3 other organizational associations as well with cease and desists being sent. They were given this information, the evidence, multiple complaints, and they did nothing to him or his rating. They don't want to actually protect consumers, they want to hope they'll get money from the contractor in the future in return for their good deed.
Helen with the BBB has been asked how the rating was determined, sent further information and evidence, and won't do anything again to protect consumers.

On January 25, 2025, Presbyterian Men of Presbyterian Church of the Cross hosted a breakfast program featuring Josh Planos as the speaker.
