The service and contract support were both pretty crappy. My home maintenance plan included a visit to my boiler in October 2024 during which NO work was performed. In January 2025, I had to replace my boiler. When I complained, a supervisor was not available to take my call. This represents a waste of the contracted fee and Pivotal should be sued for incompetence.

Called for water heater repair/service. Customer service gave me 3 different claim numbers telling me that previous claims were not scheduled. Final one told me everything is set and scheduled with time of service. Nobody came but when I called customer service they said that dispatch didn't get confirmation. Dispatch never called and 3 customer service reps confrmed the date and time. Either one of them is lying or there is no repair man to actually do the job. Don't do business with this company. Extremely dissaponted with Nicor Gas for recommending this company.

My dryer was deemed irreparable, and I was to received $300 towards the purchase of a new dryer. While saving enough for the new dryer, my A/C was deemed irreparable after the technician who came for the clean and check, sabotaged it. It was working fine when he came but all of sudden frost was on the pipes leading from the unit. I had it repaired for less than $100. That technician called out someone from OnCourse, who showed up the next day. He came in a gave me a price for my A/C and went on to tell me that my furnace would have to be deemed irreparable also without even seeing it.
My hot water heater stopped heating so I called for service. Wouldn't you know it, it was deemed irreparable, also. The technician came out with an IPad, not a tool bag. He told me that it would cost me $1800 to get it replaced. In each instance where my appliances were deemed irreparable, I was told that they wouldn't come out for repairs again unless they were replaced. I called a plumber who replaced the valve for less than $100. I could not afford to replace all of these appliances.
In the meantime, I am saving up for a dryer. Since all of my appliances were deemed irreparable, it was foolish to keep paying $95.00 month for their service, so I canceled. When I got my dryer, I sent them the invoice for the $300, it was denied because I canceled the crooked service, but I was under contract when I started the claim.
You all are the worse business in this state. There has to be legal recourse for your blatant willingness to con people, especially senior citizens. I am seeking an attorney.

On October 4, 2024, I contacted Pivotal Solutions to inquire about their home warranty services because I own a home and wanted coverage for my various appliances. The lady initially quoted me one price and said that it covered a lot of what I was looking for in a home warranty. Before I could finish setting up my account info, she said that she had made a mistake, and that it would cost much more money than originally quoted. I told her emphatically "No, that I didn't want to go with the coverage at all, since she kept changing the prices and it appeared that she didn't know what she was talking about! I immediately got off the phone with her despite her trying to upsale their warranty products to me. I hung up the phone with a strong No! Next month, on my November credit card statement, I discovered that she had charged my credit card account anyway $88.99 for services that I told her that I did not want. I immediately called them on December 13th and informed them of this error and was told that it would be refunded back to me. Why on my December credit card statement they charged me again for the same amount? I called them again on December 27th, and was told that it would be escalated to a supervisor for follow up. I had to contact my credit card company because Pivotal Solutions is not honorable and did not do as they said that they would.
They are scammers and I would not recommend their services! They should have never set up my account when I told the representative that I didn't want the service in the very beginning. Please be aware!

After 7 months and over 50 calls made to this company, I have finally received a check in the mail for the $8.98 that was auto paid from my account for a CANCELED warranty plan. This company- and Oncourse Home Solutions, American Water Resources, whatever name they want to go by in the moment- consistently gaslit me and lied to me about my account. They made the mistake of speaking with me over their text line, where I was able to hold them accountable for the lies the previous representative had told me. Eventually, they ignored my texts and I could only communicate with them over the phone where they loved to tell me that they had transferred my case to the billing department and that it would take 6-8 weeks for them to take my case even though I’d been told the same thing 4 months prior. Perhaps the most frustrating part is when their way of rectifying the problem was to apply a credit to my account, as if I’d ever consider doing business with them after this mess. Avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I’ve had this service for less than a year. The customer service is horrible, the supervisor line is horrible. I’ve never spoken to a supervisor who has no soft skills, I’ve never been spoken over, spoken to with an attitude and no assistance although I’ve filed a complaint with the company the very same day a technician came to my home. I would only recommend purchasing this coverage if you have a brand new home with brand new appliances. This company does not try to assist you with anything if an appliance the company deems to be too old. You are offered a reimbursement amount that doesn’t even cover half of the actual replacement cost.

The technician came to my home, deemed the water heater to be unrepairable. I contacted the company to advise that Nipsco came to my home and advised us the automatic cut off switch turned the gas off to the home. The water heater didn’t have any gas to light the pilot light. I asked for a second opinion of the water heater several times without a response. I asked for a supervisor multiple times and told there is no turn around time for a call back and it could be 72 hours. 72 hours came and went 3 times, I called in between each time.

We had to wait over two weeks to speak to a supervisor with no help and told that it doesn’t matter there was no gas to the home if another technician comes to my home I will have to pay out of pocket. I have other people who I’ve spoken to who also have this company and they are choosing to cancel the service. This company has no sense of urgency and will leave kids and the elderly without heat or water and give you the run around. I will say the first service I received for the lower level of our home flooding was the only good service we have received from this company.

The first representative Victor spoke very disrespectfully and lied to me that a "federal law" is the reason I was not allowed to request the provider I had on a previous repair. Victor would not end the call preventing me from doing the survey. I called back to speak with a supervisor and the second representative told me there was no available supervisor but one would call me back 15 -30 minutes later. Four hours later, no supervisor called. Upon speaking with a third representative, Bella told me that the documentation about my complaint was not on my account. So the second representative lied about putting it in the account. After being on another lengthy call as there was no supervisor available and I chose not to be on hold any longer I requested to have a phone number for the corporate office. I was given an email address and told that they do not have a corporate phone number. I am a long time customer and the customer service is very different. The lack of knowledge and honesty is concerning.

I NEVER signed up for this service. I would never sign up for any "home warranty" plans as I am well aware that they are all scams.
Apparently, my gas company signed me up without my knowledge and added it to my monthly bill. They paid out of my payment for years without my knowledge, then stopped paying causing me to get notices of being past due. Don't bother calling Pivotal's customer service, they barely speak English.
