Compact coffee shop with a large selection of pastries, in house roasting, and some hot breakfast options.

Staff were very friendly, and there was a nice amount of art for sale and on display.

Specialty drinks had some very unique options and the drip was pretty good. Did not try any hot food options but the pastries were good. If you do get hot food, it is in a cooler directly opposite the register and can be reheated in a microwave.

Solid spot, especially if you're taking the metra or blue line. There's also ample parking!

This coffee shop is hands down the best spot in the neighborhood!! Their coffee is so good, I honestly can’t get enough. I also love their donuts!
And I have to mention the sweet barista(s) they’re always so friendly, with a warm smile that brightens my day.

Normally I’m a big fan of the coffee (forgot my preferred flavor) but this time I went in hoping to try their matcha and I was really disappointed. The matcha looked really light and didn’t really taste like matcha. Other coffee we ordered was better but both just missed the mark.

these crassawnt were bomb dawggg! they looked good, and once we had them back at home they were bigger than we expected. didnt realize how big they were behind the case. we tallied our number of bites as we at em too, and divided the total price by number of bites to caculate if it was a good deal. 13.18 total for two huge croissants. i finished mine in 12 bites, my boyfriend took 17, so for me it totaled out to .54c per bite for me and .39c per bite for boyfie. we have deduced THATS A GOOD DEAL!!!! worth it 😎 i have attached proof of calculation to show my work. thank you backlot 👍

Great local coffee spot right off Irving Park blue line stop in the Old Irving Park neighborhood. They have a huge selection of delicious pastries and goodies (banana bread is awesome!) and excellent coffee ☕️ everyone working here is really friendly and welcoming. The place gets really busy in the morning on weekends but there’s lots of spots to sit. I also loved the artwork on display by Sarah E. Wain! So I posted it in the photos. Definitely my new coffee spot in the neighborhood.

Cute little neighborhood shop. Not a lot of space but great place to stop in on the way to work on a regular.

Small but excellent cafe. They roast their own coffee from a single origin. As a pinky up coffee drinker it can't get much better than that.
I had a Mexican single origin drip. Black. Sweet subtle chocolate and fruit 🎶 notes

The staff was unexpectedly friendly. I didn't catch the two girls names but both seem really nice and unstressed despite the busy location.

I missed their 1-hour window for a Toogoodtogo order & called ahead to see if it would be OK to still pick it up & was told that it would be... Only to arrive & for the man at the front counter & manager to start saying there's a scam associated with missing the pickup window & that I would get a refund for missing it. I'm completely unaware & confused as to why someone would scam money over day old pastries & bread Also, don't see why that has anything to do with me & if it wasn't OK then it should have been communicated over the phone prior to my arrival. As a POC it came off accusatory & racist.
Also, to respond to the previous remark-- I haven't received a refund nor was I seeking one which is why I made the point to call to begin with.
