Aloha did a great job, everything went as expected. They promptly resolved all issues with my insurance, finished work in one day, their stuff was very helpful and professional. Claim specialist guy, Andres, was very pleasant person to talk to, he clearly explained all the process, was always ready to answer any questions and easy reachable by phone any time. Sales manager, Vince, was a big help after work completion with all final payments and invoices.

I give them one star because 0 stars isn’t an option. Aloha replaced my roof back in June of 2023. They were supposed to come back to do the gutters and they never showed up. They never answered my calls, never answered my insurance representatives, never picked up the check as the representative said he was. I started received invoices January of 2025 for the roof replacement. I contacted them and requested an itemized invoice. They took my information and never sent it. Again, February 2025 they send another invoice. I called them requesting for them to send the itemized invoice I had requested back in January, AGAIN they take my information.. no emails, no phone calls, no itemized invoice! Now March 2025 I receive another invoice!!! This is ridiculous! Worst company ever.. and let’s not mention my father supervised the entire work because they were trying to provide poor quality work! Do not recommend at all!

In February 2024, after a severe hailstorm, Aloha Roofing came out to assist with communication between myself and my insurance company. Richard, the representative, visited a few times and filed claims for me and several of my neighbors. He mentioned noticing several issues with my roof and claimed to have a 70% approval rate on first submissions and 30% on second submissions.

Richard filed the claim with my insurance (State Farm) on my behalf. However, when the insurance adjuster was scheduled to inspect the property, Richard did not show up as promised. Instead, a contractor came to meet the State Farm agent. Both the contractor and the agent agreed to deny the claim. When I informed Richard, he said he would not pursue a second assessment.

Unfortunately, after filing the claim, State Farm dropped my policy, leaving me with limited options for new coverage. I now pay approximately $1,000 more annually for insurance.

This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I feel let down by the lack of follow-through from Aloha Roofing. Be cautious when considering this company.

We use Aloha (Lake Zurich, IL) to replace the entire roof, and fix the leaking sidewood of the chimney.  The following are what we have.

1.  We signed 2 separate contracts for the job - the primary contract is for the entire roof replacement which is under insurance coverage. The 2nd contract is fixing the leaking /damaged side panel around the chimney out of my own pocket. The claim specialist Jessica did a good job for all the communications for both contracts, processing the claims from the insurance company, roof material selection and all the Misc stuff. Thanks.

2. The primary contract was subcontracted to another local roof company. We had a good experience with it. The 8 person roof team leader - Laurent (from Aloha) did good work leading the team. The old shingles were removed professionally without damaging my yard. The work was completed on-time. The overall results look good. Laurent told me there are 8 pieces of roof plywood that need replacement and they did it promptly.  The team also replaced the chimney flashing, and removed a few pieces of siding to check the status of the leaking side panel around the chimney.

3. Aloha did not have a detailed list on the Primary contract with me for each item/charges. They just work on the items with charges based on the estimation report from the insurance company after the inspection. In my case, there was an item the insurance company paid for, but it turns out this item is not necessary.  Aloha did not find out this until I compared the estimation list and what had been done. I ended up getting back hundreds of dollars from Aloha.

4. I was told there are 4 teams working on the same days for different houses for the roof replacement. Yes, Aloha has a lot of projects and they do use other roof companies as subcontractors. The quality may also depend on what company they are using.

5. My 2nd contract with Aloha was a small job for replacing / repairing Chimney side panels. They did a decent job. However, the scheduling for the job had been an issue. They changed the schedule a couple of times in the last minutes.  This bothers me since they delivered the construction material and left them in my garage days earlier,  and I need to go home from my office to open the garage door, with the last minute notification.

Summary: The overall job quality is decent, but the project management may need improvement. The homeowner may need to check the detail lists for the jobs, and be flexible for the construction date if it is a small project.

Be aware of this company!!!! They came out to inspect the roof- claimed it was heavily hail damaged, as well as others in our neighborhood. We filed the claim- State Farm denied it. We informed Aloha by phone and asked for follow up and never heard back since- numerous phone calls and they were ghosting us. We have to deal with the consequences now, because State Farm dropped us. Stay away from this company-not reliable nor trustworthy.

We used Aloha to replace roof, siding , window wraps and fascia after hail damage in the fall of 2024. From beginning to end they helped with the Insurance piece and the salesman Richard Finney was very professional, transparent and always available to answer any of my questions all along the process. Richard was amazing. Very positive experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family.
