I have had the pleasure of visiting Avantara Lake Zurich almost every day for the past eight months. My mom was first admitted in March for short term rehab for a broken femur/hip. Her therapy and care was outstanding. She was then able to be transferred to the second floor for long term care. Fortunately, through the dedication and guidance of Kyle, the amazing admissions director, my dad was able to join my mom and receive long term care as well. This would not have happened without Kyle's expertise. Thank you, Kyle!

My family and I are extremely pleased with the care that my parents have received. Everyone is professional, hard-working, caring and show true concern for all the residents.

Since I have spent a lot of time at Avantara LZ, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication of the staff. Patti, an outstanding nurse on the first floor, took care of my mom during her rehab and still asks me how she is doing whenever I see her. Nate, Guest Services director, has assisted us since day 1. He is very visible throughout the facility and always checks in by asking, "What can I do for you today?" The nursing and support staff on the second floor also deserve recognition for their hard work and caring dispositions. A special shout-out to Mel and Anna! You guys rock! Social services has been an excellent guide for me. They have answered many questions and helped in so many ways. A special shout-out to Mary! You are the best! And, finally to all the support staff, which includes the office managers, customer service assistants, activities director/assistants and housekeeping, your friendliness and hard work does not go unnoticed. A special shout-out to Patrick, Franz, Robin, Sylvia, Donna, Jen....thanks for everything that you do!!!

I have learned many lessons from the care and concern my parents have been shown as residents of Avantara Lake Zurich. I would highly recommend Avantara to anyone looking for a quality care facility for a loved one. You will not be disappointed!

Oh no, no, no. I wouldn’t recommend this Avantara in lake zurich to anyone. The staff was unresponsive and seemed overwhelmed, resulting in poor communication and lackluster care. As soon as you bring up these problems with staff their immediate reaction is “so you want to discharge?” That mentality is backwards to me = profit over care! My loved one’s needs were often overlooked, and basic requests were either delayed, ignored, or forgotten. This facility itself appeared clean on the surface but lacked a welcoming or compassionate environment, clearly outdated. Overall, the experience was deeply disappointing, and I would encourage others to explore other options for their loved ones rehab care.

This place is absolutely horrible. I would not send my worst enemy. There to be cared for my mother's been there for 2 weeks for rehab, after having surgery, she's been calling for the nurses. It takes an hour for them to come there by the time she needs something done to go to the bathroom or anything she's already gotten up and ought to get there herself before they come there. They do not do anything what they're supposed to do. The food there is horrible.They ask her when it's time to change her bandages.When that's their job to know that they ask her when it's time to take her medicine.That's their job to do that, not hers.The place is absolutely horrible

The excellent care given to me
by the physical therapy department was exactly what i needed especially by (ST-Anna. OT-Katy
PT-Mel +Tricia). They are very aware of your status and thus they never push you beyond your limits.

I love the people who've been here, and Im only leaving to be closer to my daughter in the other facility. Some of the people here have really touched my heart and I'm going to miss them. The staff here are so great (the food could have been better) but the experience has been top of the line and I hope my next facility is just as good. I have nothing bad to say about it here. So many great CNAs (thank you Singh!) and I hope I have another great one. I try to be independent when I can.

I stayed short term recently at Avantara of lake zurich and just like to express my sincere gratitude to my Nurse Patti and CNA Kaitlyn for taking outstanding care of me. This has been the most emotional time in my life and thanks to this amazing therapy and nursing team, I can safely get back to living my life. Patti and Kaitlyn went above and beyond the call of duty in the quality of care they gave me. They are true caregivers. Keep in touch, Love, Debbie

The food is sub-par. I actually ordered out twice.

I had prescription meds taken from me when I checked in. I was told that they would be returned when I left. These meds were not added to the inventory list. When I left, no one knew anything about these meds. They finally found my meds 2 days later. Why didn’t the weekend staff know where to find them?

I accidentally left a prescription wrist brace behind when I left. When I called the next day, no one knew anything about it. It is now 3 days later. They are hoping that it will turn up in the laundry.

I feel disrespected.
