Renewable Energy Corporation was a pleasure to work with. They thoroughly answered our questions and handled the permits, etc. The installers were quick, neat, and cleaned up after themselves. We are now enjoying significantly lower electricity bills and feeling great about our green energy. We highly recommend this company.

We installed our panels in 2011 when Renewable Energy Corporation was fairly new. They've been responsive through the years, and when we had an issue with an inverter, came out quickly to try to resolve it. We've been happy with our panels, the aftermarket service and the output. We now need a new roof, and are going back to Renewable Energy Corporation for a roof installation and upgrading to a more efficient and larger system.

We used Renewable Energy to provide a battery back-up for our previously installed solar array. The crew was fantastic, figuring out how to solve a problem when the gas line to the house got in the way of where the battery was supposed to go. They were efficient, cleaned everything up, and made sure it was all working perfectly before they left. We have enjoyed significant savings on our electric bill, and we had power for essentials in our house when a storm took out the local power grid. And, when we needed a copy of the invoice for tax purposes, the office came through within seconds. Very responsive company, we couldn't be happier.

We were duped and made our decision to go with this company too quickly. We should have read more reviews as many were the same as our experience, especially on the high pressure sales side. We have heard other friends and neighbors pay much less with other companies, even with the "discount" that they give everyone by the looks of it.

Our system was turned on October 2023.
The savings have NOT been what we were promised. The ROI is just not there, especially with the price you pay after the "30% discount they give you because you are the first in the neighborhood that they have offered the deal to".

The extra SREC income, which comes every several months, is only about $30. So, maybe a total of around $100 a year. The sales man claimed this would help payoff our multi-thousand dollar loan… maybe by the time we die.

Overall: I would NOT recommend, just do your research and check other options before you sign the paperwork!

Great sales team and very helpful office personnel when calling with questions about my installation. My only issue is they never told me they’d be removing large sections of my living room drywall (that’s where my panel is) despite knowing that’s where the panel was located. The sales rep inspected it before I signed anything but I was never told until the installation crew had already started cutting. I was supposed to have my living room painted the weekend prior (glad it got postponed) but I had large sections of my wall missing for over two months. When I finally called asking when they were sending their drywall guy to repair it as promised, they were very polite and scheduled him to come out that Monday. The man they work with was supposed to come out at 9:00 so I had to take off work, but by noon he informed me that he double booked himself and wouldn’t be able to make it and would come out tomorrow. I couldn’t afford to miss another day of pay, so he reluctantly agreed to come out Saturday even though he doesn’t work weekends which I appreciated. However, he told me he’d be at my home between 9:00 and 11:00, and at 11:01 he called to say he was still at another house working (which confused me because he said they don’t do weekend repairs) in Virginia and was two hours away. It makes me think he never planned on coming, but I was able to cancel my afternoon plans if he could come immediately after. He filled most of the hole without hanging the panel back up. The area he covered leaves a large strip of exposed back wall. This went unnoticed because he left the panel cover off the wall before leaving.

I’m still waiting on my system to be turned on, and everything has gone smoothly so far besides that. I feel like they’re a great company, they just need to select more professional contractors.
