GFL customer service is poor at best. I have gone to pick up my sticker in person to the Hwy 6 for 4 straight quarters because I can’t get it via mail. This time they received my payment on 9/13 and still today 10/4 no sticker in the mail. I complained to the customer service manager. His excuse was: they have 20,000 customers, it takes 10 days to process the payments, then a report is sent every Tuesday to a 3rd party mailer, then the 3rd party mailer mail the stickers. Well, it hasn’t worked. I can’t understand this so called “green” corporation hasn’t developed a better and secure system to satisfy their customers. In this age of technology and artificial intelligence 10 days to process payments, using a 3rd party mailer? 40 years ago this was a good excuse, but this is so stupid. Either the accounting department doesn’t know what they are doing or the corporate staff are so lazy to use a 3rd party mailer in lieu of searching for the latest software system with AI in the market.
Second, my recycle bin and other neighbor’s haven’t been picked up in 3 weeks. The customer service manager said the trash bin had to be next to the recycle bin so the employees can see I have current sticker. That’s another absurd answer. Before GFL, WCA sent 2 stickers for the recycle bin as well. Now they decided to have 1 sticker. I remember the driver had a list of the paying customers so that didn’t happen.

Update: note: I upgraded my 1 star to a 4 star. So I stand corrected. I spoke with GFL about my below issue and apparently there's a heavy trash day on Thursdays which 2 crews pickup trash. So trash on the side of the bins will be picked up by another crew.

So you mean to tell me if u have a full trash container and you have extra trash and place it neatly to the side of the garbage for pickup that GFL refuses and will leave peoples garbage sitting there when they could have just tossed it This is unacceptable.

June 15, 2024 my trash was not emptied, but all my other neighbors’ trash was emptied (Stone Creek Ranch Subdivision, Hockley, TX.). I honestly do not know the reason why I was singled out, My trash can was not half full. As a retired disabled veteran who have served this country for 30 years of my best life, and I have dedicated my life helping others also as a retired RN. I would like to think getting my trash emptied ever to be an issue. To the company and/or employee If there is something I did, said, or how I may have offended you, please tell me so this issue may be finally resolved. I just want to live my retired life that I’ve earned peacefully.

Their sticker program sucks!!! We are in 2024 they should have a better way to do things.. a few months ago they didn’t send me a sticker til I complained that my trash didn’t get picked up. We never get no emails or regular bills on time until is almost due. We pay it as we get it. They confirm they received my payment on 8/29. Seems like it takes them 10 days to send a sticker. Trash passed yesterday and I didn’t get my sticker u til later on that day. My trash didn’t get picked up and it was full since I did a garage clean up last weekend. They agents don’t even care they are like robots sticking to their script or rules. I guess if you mail anything in Houston takes 10 days to get it delivered But then they said it was my fault for paying late? That I should put reminders in my calendar? Good thing is I’m a tenant here so at some point I’ll be glad to move but sucks for whoever owns homes in the area and are stuck with a crappy company.. I’ve been in different parts of town and never had issues with the trash company. They are trash!!

So I have been living in my neighborhood for 2 years. Using the SAME trash bin that was there upon moving in. I had the account switched to me and was never told then or ordered the corrected bin. Here we are now and I'm going on week two of no pick up due to incorrect bins
Called and emailed. Was told my correct bin would come today only to just get a recycling bin because they were out of the correct bin. Had I not called I would have NEVER known that. Lack of communication. And I make my payments on time but can't get my services right. And then the operators and customer service act like it's an issue that I'm reaching out about my paid service

This company is the worst. Despite my weekly calls. The problem does not get fixed. And yes I have always paid my bills on time. They don't operate on any kind of schedules. Sometimes 6 am sometimes 5pm but mostly they just don't pick up. I expect that they provide a service I pay for and not be punished because others don't pay their bills. It needs to be fixed. I've called over and over with no changes.

Kind of tough to work with. Inconsistent pick up days and times. Now with storm, they’re not taking recycling for weeks. They don’t pick up bags on ground in case you have extra trash.
I normally take trash out in morning as they typically came in afternoons. But they randomly came early and now I am stuck with a full trash can.
My old house had Waste Management and they were so much better. If you had extra bags on side, they’d pick it up and had consistent pick up days/times.

This is the worst trash disposal company the Houston area has ever had. They constantly skip pickups. No consistency on pickup times. Try to make you put a sticker on your trash can which is illegal. They can provide their own containers, but cannot require stickers on your personal ones. They also have a terrible accounting dept. They also have no respect for your trash cans and Constantly damage them. Hands down the worst company ever. PLEASE LEAVE HOUSTON!!
