One of the best visitor center we ever visited. The staffs and volunteers love their jobs and patiently introduce all the tourist sites and viewpoints to help us arrange a better travel experience according to our nights of stay.

Inside of the visitor, there is a mini expo to provide the visitors with all the background knowledge about the geological history about the amazing natural landscapes of extraordinary beauty. The small gift shop has some very cute souvenir.

Ranger station, yes, but also a stop off the road containing a wonderful vista point, with beautiful scenery. The ranger station is super interesting. It has lots of historical and other information on the topography and local animal varieties. Nice, clean bathrooms and filtered water available (very important with the altitude and heat). Great place for pictures! We visited at the height of summer. It may be busier during the cooler months.

Sedona is a paradise for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, and as someone who’s explored many trails, I can confidently say it’s a destination that lives up to its reputation. The combination of red rock landscapes, scenic views, and vibrant sunsets creates an unforgettable outdoor experience. Whether you're hiking Cathedral Rock, Devil’s Bridge, or simply enjoying a leisure walk along Oak Creek, Sedona offers adventures for every skill level.

One of the best moments in Sedona is catching the sunset from the Airport Mesa. This spot provides panoramic views of the entire valley and surrounding rock formations, making it ideal for sunset watching. The way the red rocks change hues as the sun sinks behind the mountains is magical. It’s also a popular spot, so I recommend arriving early to grab a good place to sit and soak in the beauty.

Beyond hiking, Sedona’s energy vortex sites add a unique spiritual dimension to the visit, attracting those looking for mindfulness and relaxation. Whether you’re chasing sunsets, climbing red cliffs, or just connecting with nature, Sedona offers something truly special for every outdoor lover.

Great pit stop along the way to Sedona. The exhibits in the visitor center are very informative and the rangers are helpful and friendly. You can also buy some souvenirs and use a squashed penny machine at the visitor centre. The views are absolutely breathtaking outside and it is the perfect spot for pictures!

Very helpful planning out our day. We were able to purchase our America the beautiful yearly pass here at the facility. That is a pass you can use yearly to get into any national forest area or recreational area and the pass just has to be shown on the dash of your car. Up to two people are able to be on the pass.
