I have had an excellent experience using Henrico county trash collection services and strongly recommend anyone living in Henrico to use them over competing private services like GFL. I was able to get trash and recycling services set up immediately, and I was even able to add a second can to my service over email. Everything was done promptly and professionally, and I felt like the whole thing was easy and convenient. I have had about three years of professional regular service without any issues whatsoever. Reviews for utility services probably skew negative because that is what motivates people to leave reviews, but honestly they do a great job. Thanks Henrico!

These crooks really are saying that my water bill halfing after them replacing a faulty meter is a coincidence and that they don't need to correct their over charging.

I’m sure very few people ever get on here to write something positive about a public utilities place, but I just wanted to take a second to share my experience. Some crazy driver ran over my trashcan a week ago in the middle of the night, crushing it, and spraying my trash all over the road in front of my house. I called the number to Henrico public utilities and trash. A lady answered. It was very polite and said she understood the situation, asked for my address, and asked me to leave the beat up trashcan outside. Within 48 hours someone came by and replaced it with a new trashcan. For being a public utilities spot, they were polite, fast, efficient, and I couldn’t be happier about their service. Five stars, thank you, Henrico county! From one taxpayer to another.

Thank you Henrico County Government for yet again, doing a fabulous job collecting trash before 0700 on Monday March 20, 2023. I truly appreciate Henrico giving me time to move my trash for collection yesterday. Why management decided to schedule trash collection at 0700 yesterday, is beyond me?!? I fully expect the wealthy tax funded Henrico County Utilities Agency to collect my trash at a reasonable time going forward and to come back today for collection. Trash wasn't collected until 1500 last week yet this week it was 0700?!?! So my bill is paid until mid April, why should I have to haul my garbage to the dump because Henrico County doesn't know how to efficiently operate a infinite and wealthy funded entity?!?! I've lived here 20 years, same BS every month.

Very helpful on the phone with just a short wait. My new bill had a "keystroke error" that made over 10X higher than it should've been. I had signed up for their text notifications, so I knew about a month in advance before I needed to pay. The person I spoke with understood the issue, took care of it, and forwarded the correction to the billing department and I had my actual bill in 1-2 days. Thanks!

48 hours and I still can't speak with anyone about transferring my services to a new address. After 51 minutes of holding by phone, someone picked up and hung up on me!! So unprofessional especially when I need water services for my new home. The website is not user friendly for moving out option.

Just got off the phone with Aaron regarding a water leak at my newly built house. The water leak predates my purchase of the house. I'm new to Virginia. I paid the first bill ($190.91 for 13 days of service!). Plumbing company swore they fixed the leak. The second bill was $1,595.83! The plumbing company dug up my front yard to find the leaking pipe. I filed the appeal. Got my most recent bill yesterday. Still $585.73 (giving me a balance of $2,181.56), but that is probably because of any time between the previous meter reading and the repair in February. Just spoke with Aaron. Friday morning at 8:05. He suggested I pay the amount of the first bill (minus the $14 setup charge) this month. And then got pretty snotty when I said there's no way my average monthly bill is that high. He asked if I had any other questions. I said no, thanks for confirming that my appeal is being reviewed. He then hung up on me. So unprofessional!

I am still wondering where is our tax money going ? Customer service representatives here are not helpful, not professional , and they don't have any ability about problem solving. I called them to stop my business water service before my lease ended at the Virginia center commonwealth Mall and the lady on the phone told me they stopped it. On December I still get a water bill from them. The Mall is literally vanished and they are still sending me water bill! The person I talked to on the phone today was something else too! It is like reading a Franz Kafka novel , no ones know what they know but they work over there and they know everything even if you think they might be wrong, they are better than you, because you on the phone are always wrong or you did it wrong in the first time ! do some changes in your department for god's sake. I told to the person 'please read the reviews on the google about your service' he hanged up the phone. Even a 5 year old can learn from his mistakes. So sad to see our tax money is wasting in this department.
