Indoor Air Assessment is a prominent environmental consulting firm based in Richmond, Virginia. Operating from their office located at 4206 Hickory Rd, Richmond, VA 23235, the company offers specialized services focused on improving indoor air quality and ensuring environmental compliance. Their phone number, 8043570599, provides a direct line for inquiries and consultations. For more detailed information and service details, their website, indoorairassessment.com, serves as a comprehensive resource.

\n\n

At its core, Indoor Air Assessment functions as a dedicated Environmental Consultant, helping individuals, businesses, and institutions navigate complex environmental issues, particularly concerning the air within enclosed spaces. The quality of indoor air can significantly impact health, productivity, and overall well-being, making the services provided by such firms invaluable. Their expertise lies in identifying airborne contaminants, assessing their sources and effects, and recommending effective mitigation strategies.

\n\n

Understanding Their Services

\n

While specific services may evolve, the core mission of Indoor Air Assessment revolves around Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Testing and remediation. They likely conduct thorough investigations to identify potential pollutants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), mold, bacteria, dust mites, pollen, and radon. This assessment is crucial for diagnosing problems ranging from musty odors and respiratory irritation to potential long-term health concerns.

\n\n

Based on their expertise, they can provide tailored Environmental Consulting advice. This might include recommendations for improving ventilation systems, suggesting appropriate air purification devices, advising on effective moisture control to prevent mold growth, recommending remediation strategies if contamination is found, or even assisting with regulatory compliance for new construction or renovation projects. Identifying and addressing sources of poor IAQ is paramount, and they likely possess the technical knowledge and analytical tools to pinpoint these issues accurately.

\n\n

Indoor Air Quality Testing: A Deeper Dive

\n

Professional Indoor Air Quality Testing is far more comprehensive than simple home test kits. It involves collecting air samples using specialized equipment, analyzing them in a certified laboratory, and interpreting the results according to established guidelines and standards. Indoor Air Assessment, as an environmental consultant, likely follows rigorous protocols to ensure accurate findings.

\n\n

Testing can reveal hidden problems that occupants might not immediately suspect. For instance, they can detect elevated levels of formaldehyde, a common VOC found in paints, carpets, and furniture, which can cause eye irritation and respiratory issues. They can also identify mold spores, which thrive in damp environments, or measure particulate matter that can exacerbate allergies and asthma.

\n\n

Furthermore, their assessments might extend to evaluating the performance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, checking for issues like inadequate filtration or poor ductwork, which can recirculate contaminants within a building. By providing detailed reports backed by scientific data, Indoor Air Assessment empowers clients to make informed decisions about improving their indoor environments.

\n\n

Why Choose a Professional Assessment

\n

Addressing indoor air quality concerns without professional help can be challenging and potentially ineffective. DIY methods might provide only surface-level solutions or misdiagnose the problem entirely. Hiring experts like Indoor Air Assessment ensures that the assessment is conducted scientifically and thoroughly, leading to lasting improvements.

\n\n

Whether you're a homeowner noticing unusual symptoms, a business owner concerned about employee health and productivity, or a property manager dealing with tenant complaints, professional Indoor Air Quality Services can provide peace of mind and tangible benefits. Poor IAQ can lead to Sick Building Syndrome, increased healthcare costs, reduced work efficiency, and potential legal liabilities. Investing in a professional assessment is an investment in health and operational success.

\n\n

Accessibility and Veteran Ownership

\n

Indoor Air Assessment prides itself on being a veteran-owned business. This often signifies a commitment to professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of community service. Furthermore, the company ensures accessibility for all clients by providing wheelchair-accessible car parking facilities at their Hickory Road location, demonstrating a commitment to serving diverse customer needs.

\n\n

\n\n

The company can be contacted via their website or phone for information regarding their service areas or if out-of-area projects are handled.

\n\n

Dave Burrington at Indoor Air Assessment was truly exceptional as our first line of defense against indoor air quality issues. When I started experiencing skin problems in our new home, I suspected air quality might be the culprit but didn't know where to start. Dave conducted a thorough assessment of our entire property, taking multiple air samples throughout different areas of our home.

His comprehensive evaluation revealed elevated mold spore levels, which he documented meticulously in a detailed report. What impressed me most was how he took the time to explain his findings in terms I could understand and outlined specific, actionable recommendations to address the issues. Dave didn't just identify problems—he provided solutions, including connecting us with a trusted remediation company who ultimately resolved our mold issues.

Dave's expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. He clearly cares about helping people create healthier living environments, and it shows in his work. If you're concerned about your home's air quality or experiencing unexplained health issues that might be related to your indoor environment, I highly recommend Indoor Air Assessment as your starting point.

We are having issues with our crawl space, stemming from mold that was cleaned a number of years ago. We are still having an odd smell, so wanted to make sure not unhealthy was going on.

I found Dave’s company on line, and I am sure glad we did. He is amazing. He spent a lot of time at our house, going above the call of duty to investigate every possible source of the issue we have been experiencing. His thorough tests ( and overall knowledge ) have eased our minds.

The best thing is that I have reached out to Dave to ask questions after our service was performed. He is still still answering questions and reviewing items that I am sending over.

If you need someone to evaluate the air quality in your home, I would highly recommend Dave Burrington. You won’t be sorry you called.

Not only have I seen Dave’s work first hand, but I’ve also known him for 20 years personally. Dave is retired military, and has helped build a few multimillion dollar companies in this industry. To say Dave is the most professional and knowledgeable person I have ever met in this field is an understatement. If you’re looking around at other companies in this industry looking no further. Thank me later.

I moved into a home 6 months ago that started to make me very ill within 24 hours. This went on for 3 long months, trying desperately to get to the cause. Another contractor who was doing work on the crawlspace (where I believed the sole issue lied at the time), highly recommended Dave Burrington with Indoor Air Assessment LLC to come out and perform a thorough air quality assessment. What a blessing to have Dave come out. Several vendors before Dave never got to the root cause, but Dave provided extremely skilled diagnostics, detailed reports, and finally provided an answer as to the environmental toxins in the home (Stachybotrys and Chaetomium - toxic black molds and asbestos). Dave took the time on a Friday night (well after working hours) to participate in a call to explain his findings and next steps. After some tear down in the home, tests were run again and unfortunately the air quality was not 100% resolved. Dave again took the time on a Sunday night go over his findings and path forward to get this home healthy. Dave is one of the kindest, most compassionate, and most meticulous contractors I’ve ever worked with. After 6 months of a home deconstructed, the end is in sight and my home will be put back together by year end. I cannot thank Dave enough for everything he did to ensure my home is safe and healthy. I highly recommend Dave and will only use him if the situation arises again in the future.
