A few families dining in while we chose a table along the wall to settle in for a bite to eat. Our service was impeccable and food very tasty 😋 Recommended the Deluxe so that's what we had. See pic. Classic little eatery in town you can't miss!

We drove 2 hrs just for this pizza and we were not disappointed. Food was excellent as always, staff was friendly and helpful, and the owner was very personable. This was our third visit to this location and even though we live 2 hrs away, it will definitely not be our last! We loved the cinnamon bread sticks! Thanks for great food and even better experience!

We have only been in the area for a little over a year now but had not tried Giovanni's Pizza until today. The store was pretty slow when we went in, and we were the only family dining in, but we were treated well the entire time we were there.

Part of our order was a small cheese pizza, which was accidentally cut incorrectly. We really didn’t care how the pizza was cut and were perfectly happy with it, but they still replaced it in the proper style. On top of that, they offered the kids a free dessert brownie as well for the mistake.

Several other people have mentioned poor employee treatment, but during the 30–45 minutes we were there, everyone seemed to be in a good, happy mood. Hopefully, those are more rumors than truth! We had a great experience and will definitely be returning.

Haf a great time watchin my son and his cousin do the challenge. They were very courteous and the food was absolutely delicious. They did a great job when my daughters order was mistaken but complimented us a calazone to make up for it and 2 complimentary desserts. I absolutely love Giovannis Pizza. Our server Jennifer was so nice and funny and prompt she had multiple orders and parties by herself and I feel she did a great job!

The food has become much better. I’ve heard and seen some things though. I don’t think the employees get treated well. The place is clean and food is usually good either way no issues.

Giovanni's honestly has one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time! The pizza is not greasy and has a great amount of cheese. The chocolate chip cookie is great as well! Highly recoomend!

Love the food, but recent inconsistencies are driving me away. Ordered delivery twice in the last couple of weeks. It took over an hour and the pizza was lukewarm. Second time, it took over an hour once again and multiple garlic butters were missing. Prior to Giovanni’s, the owner has zero experience in the restaurant industry. He’s turned the establishment around back into being as good as it was in the 1990s, but a substantial amount of complaints regarding his abysmal treatment of employees has soured many on Giovanni’s, and it has likely led to even higher turnover than what is already typical in restaurants. The owner can be generous and benevolent, factually so, but you can’t constantly belittle nor misbehave towards your employees and expect to foster a good working environment and yield great food on a consistent basis that way. I’m gonna take a lengthy break from ordering as it’s been underwhelming.

Giovannis is a restaurant staple to the Town of Richlands, Va. A restaurant that has withstood the changing times, and has progressively stayed open and on top of the ever so changing logistics when it comes to any franchised restaurant.

During our visit to giovannis pizza we held the restaurant to the same critiqument that any other restaurant is to be held, while measuring differences or changes that had been seen since the last time we had ate at this location.

Giovannis has continued its reputation of great food, where everything received was hot and tasty. Our salads were fresh, and made to order. However, customer service and proper service was lacking as the beginning stages of receiving our drinks and salads were roughly 20 minutes after ordering. Noting that during our dining experience, dining room attendance was low with only two groups of other dining guests within the restaurant.

I do not believe the concern was due to the waitress, but rather the logistics of the restaurant. Past years of visiting and reviewing Giovannis, staffing never changed and appears to still be a bare bones work crew. Add staffing issues on top of door dash orders, where door dash orders or over the phone orders were or appeared to be retained as the top priority. Dine in customers want fast paced, attentive workers. Although this may be a changing factor in todays restaurant expectations. Most restaurants ensure staffing is up to the extra workload of taking on these additional responsibilities. Giovannis needs to look at bringing on additional assistance by looking at the new logistics of rising food restaurants, while deciding what tier of restaurant it wishes to be. If not there may be future troubles ahead.

Regardless, a future visit will be in store to see what changes, and what additions have been added to take care of these issues.
