Hammerhead Electric, and specifically Dane Koncan, have been absolutely phenomenal! Our HOA worked with them to install eight EV chargers through the rebate system at zero cost to owners, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, they were professional, punctual, informative, and incredibly patient in walking us through every step of the process. Communication was excellent, making what could have been a complicated project feel seamless.

Dane himself went above and beyond—he not only ensured everything was installed flawlessly, but he also has great music taste, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable!

This project has truly changed my quality of life. Before, I had to fight for public chargers that were often obstructed, broken, or vandalized, and leaving my car in those areas felt unsafe. Now, I no longer have to walk alone at night just to charge my vehicle, which has made me feel significantly safer as a petite woman who relies on charging to get to work.

The chargers themselves are fantastic—cutting-edge technology, super user-friendly software, and incredibly reliable. Plus, our HOA is now generating extra income from them to help maintain the system, making it a win-win for everyone in the building.

Cannot say enough kind things about Dane & Bill. They were referred to me by a friend and they did an excellent job, were SO easy to work with, and were pleasant all around. From start to finish, Dane was communicative, responsive, patient, and pleasant to deal with. We recently had a ChargePoint EV charger installed in our garage and are super happy with the results and experience!

Dane is punctual, professional, super detail-oriented, honest, an expert and is willing to answer all of your questions [thoroughly in layman's terms]. He keeps you up-to-date and sends timely reminders.

We did shop around and Hammerhead Energy was slightly more expensive compared to others, but boy, so worth it. The installation was as we had requested, we paid what we were quoted (and our project was not-so-straightforward due to structural challenges, which was made evident during the free-but-extremely-thorough consultation), and it was just beautifully done!

This is a long over due review. Dane installed a 240 volt outlet for our Tesla a while back. He was on time, communicated well, reasonably priced and did a great job. It's an older house, with old wiring and low amperage, so were particularly appreciative that Dane was very safety conscious and made sure we went with safest option, given our wiring. Since then we've talked to him about other projects and he's always been great about getting back to us with any new questions. Definitely a good guy who knows his stuff!

I called Dane at Hammerhead along with 2 other outfits to get quotes on an EV Charger. Dane was the only one that took my call right away, showed up shortly after and was not offensively over priced.
Upon the installation, Dane and his team were on time, on budget and nothing less than professional, courtesy and very knowledgeable.

This company is first rate. I had them do an install of a dedicated line for an EV NEMA plug for my Tesla. They came and did a review and the quote was spot on. The quality of the work is exceptional! Dane is a total professional. I would highly recommend them. Tesla made a smart move having them as one of their preferred electricians to do this work for their customers. Also Dane was honest about the DWP TOU meter and that it was not appropriate for my situation against the cost and the minimal rebate from them.

Dane was incredible. Multiple electricians said my project couldn't be done because the permit process would be too difficult in Santa Monica and it would be too complicated and time consuming. After many of these disheartening calls I finally found Hammerhead on Tesla's recommended electricians list for installing home car chargers and gave him a call. Thank goodness I did! Dane came out and assessed the situation...there were a number of hurdles and challenges we faced to get this done and a tight deadline before the SCE rebate expired, but Dane put a game-plan together and worked with the City Planners and SCE to figure out a way to get everything done right, to code, and pass inspection all in time to still get the expiring rebate! It came down to the wire, and after countless curve balls that got thrown our way, Dane pushed through and got everything done! I can't recommend Dane enough, he is not only professional and incredibly talented and driven, but he is also very pleasant to deal with. Project was a Level 2 EV charger in a shared apartment complex garage that required SCE approval, Santa Monica permits, and City inspection.
