The absolute worst solar company to have your solar panels installed. Company broke our fuse box, did not label breakers back to this day leaving us not knowing which breaker goes to what in the house. They came and one worker scribbled with a sharpie guessing which breaker goes to what and left our fuse box a complete mess. Burnt out the television in my son’s room on installation day while switching power on and off and causing more issues with entire lighting situations in our home. The tv does not work anymore. Workers are completely unprepared, unprofessional, rude, used foul language during phone calls and in person and even had inappropriate clothing attire while installing panels. Customer service does not exist, I never get calls, emails or text messages returned. There is a hole in my ceiling from installing panels that filled up with water when it rained and has yet to be fixed. We started this project February 2023 and I have been paying a loan for solar panels that have not been finished. I have not received any update or status about when this project will be completed. I do not recommend this company. American Solar Advantage is garbage and I regret signing a contract with them.

I’ll keep it short and sweet. Had this company as a primary installer. They delayed our commissions about 4 months ago and kept promising it’ll pay out on certain dates. They owe several of our customers rebates and credits on their bill. The CEO never responded to any of my emails about my concerns and left us in the dark the last 4 months. Now they announced they closed their doors indefinitely. They kept all our commissions for a grand total of $320,000 which we most likely will never see because they most likely spent our money already. First installer who has screwed us this bad and horrible leadership. Tons of lawsuits against them already. Expensive lesson learned.

Worst home improvement experience ever. If I could give them zero stars I would. After researching over twelve solar companies, I signed a contract with American Solar Advantage (ASA) on 4/7/2023 for 23 solar panels for my home in Fullerton. The panels were installed 6/1/2023 and have not been operational despite paying 4 months already on the finance loan (on top of my normal electric bill to edison). I have reached out numerous times, contacting ASA over 40 times and have not been able to speak with someone in over two months. My sales agent even went to their offices in Chino and was turned away. ASA has not returned my calls and I have had no choice but to submit a complaint to the State of California Contractors License Board (link below). They are not only unresponsive but they are signaling financial troubles as they are unable to schedule a technician to complete the city inspection process. The project manager I was assigned to appears to have been laid off and customer service team is no longer existent. Additionally, they are not paying their sub-contractors on time as I have received a mechanic's lien on my home from the electrical company ASA hired to do the install work. I am in the process of considering legal action and with so many negative reviews a potential class action lawsuit as well. Please stay away from this company.

If anyone is in process of lawsuit. Let us know. We are paying monthly payments on this system and still having to pay Edison. Edison is saying that we don't have enough panels to cover 100% electricity. So we still have to pay yearly. We tried calling the company many times and never responded to our questions. Now finding out that company is no longer in service. We are not happy and are willing to join any lawsuit against these people thank you.

This is the worst company that you can hire. Customer service is the worst, I signed contract on February, I was told it would be completer by April 14, so far nobody answer, nobody inform you, the stage of the panel and the worst part is that they already charge me the total amount of the panels like everything is working. I 'm paying interest in the loan for a service that I don't have. They make money with your money. Don't hire them The promised to pay 2 years of the financing company and they
responded that they will be out of business and never responded again. This is a total fraud because the solar panels are not working correctly.

This was absolutely the worst customer service. We started our Solar journey in October, now in May we finally have Solar, after our rep told us 4 months is the maximum time it would take. The rep also sold us on him being the 1 stop shop, he would be able to answer all of our questions and we will receive updates during this time. When we did message him on a status of the inspections, he responded it's not his job and it's out of his hands and to call this other number. I called the number and got two different statuses on where our solar progress was. Took a 3rd call to actually get the details. They would schedule appointments and not show up, or show up unexpectedly. They make it so long to get your refund, takes them almost a week just to get a manager to sign off and 3 - 4 weeks to process it once approved. You call their 800 number and get put on hold and they never come back to the line. Again I would run from this company as fast as you can. It's unbelievable the amount of money that is spent and the service you receive.

Worst. I'm on the same boat and I feel sorry for y'all. I just found out that the company is no longer in business after reading the reviews. My installation was done by June 2023 and got connected to SCE NEM 2.0 but it looks like the system is not producing power and there's no monitoring system available. Plus the 36 month reimbursement of monthly loan payments that ASA promised obviously never happened. Now the solar circuit panel is hanging too. Don't know what to do. Should I call a 3rd party to fix or call the finance company first? Who will take over the warranty? So frustrated. Could we all whoever got affected start a law suit? Please advise. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ASA!!! This is by far the worst company I’ve had to deal with. I’m in the same position as some of these homeowners in this review section. My panels went up early July and I was under the impression that our home would be up and running with solar in a few weeks. I reached out to them via email and received a response saying they would look into the delay. That was the last I heard from them. We are in November and still no response back after numerous calls and emails. I called SCE and they didn’t receive my paperwork until August 14 and I’m not under the NEM 2.0 as promised. Now I have a mechanics lean on my house because they failed to pay the installation company. THEY LIED!!!
