We made a reservation for 3 single kayaks on a Friday. We checked in at the store and walked to Johnson’s beach where they dropped them off for us. They gave us a lay of the land and were so friendly. We went up river to explore and had a great time! We were back to Johnson’s beach by 5 and they were already there to pick up our gear.

Super friendly, pretty good price for the day. Saw some cool birds along the river. When we went up river and were able to pull right up to Farmhand for lunch which was PERFECT!

Rented kayaks $85 for a 2 seated kayak. The walk to Johnson beach is less than a mile. Kayaks are dropped off there. Ended at Monte Rio where they pick you up and bring you back to the store. Service was great friendly and informative. Encourage making reservation.

My husband and I had an outstanding experience renting from Scott at King's Sport & Tackle! Scott made is super easy by bringing the kayaks right to the beach and then picking them up when we were done. We showed up last minute without a reservation (mind you, it was during off season) and all we had to do was walk over to the beach area (which is basically across the street from the shop) and hop in the kayak and we were off and paddling upstream quickly. Scott has extensive knowledge of the area and takes his time offering ideas for what to do. He's a super nice guy and he runs an awesome business. We can't wait to rent kayaks again from King's the next time we're on the Russian River.

Thank you to Scott at King’s Sport for accommodating me and my boyfriend on his 29th boyfriend. We thoroughly enjoyed kayaking down the Russian River and their team was there to pick us up when it all wrapped up. Excellent place to rent kayaks! My husband and I wanted to go earlier in May when a lot of rental places on the river weren't open yet, and King's delivered. Very friendly employees and great service!

Great experience renting our kayaks for some time on the river. Scott took care of getting things set and met us at the river with our gear. We paddled down to the second dam and after having a snack, we enjoyed the wind at our backs as we made our way back to our put in.
