My husband, daughter and her friend stayed here after a trip down highway 1. I am so glad we chose this place. It was perfect for the 4 of us. Spectacular views, clean and comfortable home and the perfect location in this charming sea village. Home has all you need. Most every thing you want to see, you can walk to. Really enjoyed watching the otters frolic off our deck. Perfect sunset viewing spot. Our host, Todd was amazing. Gave us great dining suggestions and was very welcoming. You can tell he loves his job. This is THE very best place to stay, both for the hospitality and location/views. Grays Inn and Gallery and Morro Bay-2 best kept secrets on Central California Coast.

We spent nine days in Unit A and didn't want to leave. I cannot remember when we've enjoyed a trip to Morro Bay more and Gray's Inn was one of the main reasons. The huge deck overlooking the bay is simply wonderful. We often saw a mother otter and her baby, and a Great Blue Heron visited twice. Pros: the spectacular view, the sunsets, the comfortable sofa and chair and bed, the plethora of linens and pillows, the fully stocked kitchen, the good parking, Todd (who could easily give lessons in how to be a great host), the location (on the Embarcadero), the price (you get a lot for your money), the cleanliness, and the big, beautiful deck with a table and chairs and two loungers. Cons: No cons at all!

This is a lovely place with owners who take enormous pride in their business. It’s very clean and the kitchen is properly stalked. The balcony is absolutely amazing. Nice size with a table/ chairs and padded lounge chairs. We ate almost every meal out there to watch the boats, sea otters and sea lions pass by. Extremely nice.

This was our first time staying at Gray's Inn, but I sure hope it won't be the last. The owner, Todd, could not be nicer or easier to work with. It was easy to make reservations, and when we arrived, he was waiting to show us our room. We stayed in Room "C," the only unit on the second floor. It is perfect for two people: very roomy studio apartment with a king bed, two reclining chairs, FREE Wi-Fi, full bath and full kitchen (the kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine in terms of cooking supplies, dishes, and glassware). There are also extra towels, pillows, blankets, etc. as well as cushions for the two lounge chairs outside on the private deck.||||The room was immaculate, as was the outside area. Although there were two other parties in the downstairs rooms, we didn't hear a peep (other than from the sea lions in the bay). The view of the bay is beautiful and peaceful. We spent much of our three days just enjoying being on our deck and watching sea lions, otters, kayakers, and others enjoying the natural beauty.||||There are three parking spots, one for each unit. The location is also perfect. Once we parked our car, we didn't need to drive anywhere -- great restaurants and shops all along the Embarcadero and up on Main Street. ||||It had been two years since our last visit to Morro Bay, and we wanted something special. Gray's Inn was all that and so much more. I not only celebrated my birthday (63!) but also a marriage proposal from my love. A trully memorable visit.

This place is really on the water! We have gone here every year for quite awhile. I bring the whole family and take the two ground floor rooms. They have private decks that connect and are right over the bay. I have shown the grand kids a star fish on the rocks right from our deck. We have watched seals swim in the bay and watched the boats come and go. The room is comfortable, has a complete kitchen, living room and bedroom. The living room has a fold down bed. It is close enough to ride bikes to the beach. Even though you are right in the middle of restaurants and shopping it is quiet because the street front is where the art gallery is and the rooms are set in the back away from traffic. After dinner in our room, made with fresh fish from the fish market down the street, we go for just a short walk and get ice cream cones for dessert and window shop. There is even a bakery just a few doors down and across the street that my husband goes to a gets pastry to bring back for my breakfast. It is a great place for a family get away or a romantic get away for two. We have gone with just my husband and myself and it was quiet and lovely.

We spent 2 nites here in unit C and we loved every minute of our stay. Full kitchen and we cooked our own meals and enjoyed the lovely view on the water. We also were able to sit out on the deck and this unit is perfect for a couple. Quiet and the owner was great to respond to any inquiry we had. We can't wait to return and there are only 3 units there with unit A and B below us. It was a perfect get away for us and very, very clean and tidy with simple condiments in the pantry.
