I moved my partners things across the country and Terry made it extremely easy to both get a unit and to move my items in and out freely as the units use a personalized login to lock/unlock rather than a physical key. I had my unit for around 7 months and it was extremely secure, I never had to worry about it. I plan on coming back if I have any storage needs in the future 🙂

Great small storage facility in central Morro Bay, with top-notch technology for opening/locking doors (no padlocks - use of a secure phone app is all that’s needed). Clean and well maintained. Happy to find something so close to home with an affordable price and no need to have another key on my keychain.

I’ve worked with a lot of storage companies this year thanks to a very chaotic 300-mile move. For me, on the central coast, this one takes the cake!

The staff is super friendly, which is always a big difference maker to me. You’re a fellow human to them, and not just a customer. I talked to them a lot about my unusual moving situation and they were able to help me figure out the best storage options for my needs.

You get all the advantages of storing in the Morro Bay climate. Unlike with some other storage locations, I wasn’t worried about my pantry items spoiling or supplement bottles degrading. I could load and unload at a leisurely pace without worry of a heat wave slowing me down and making me take extra breaks.

If you get one of their larger units on the first floor, you can pull up right next to it and you’ll be greeted by a full-size garage door. Perks like that are hard to find on the central coast, and SS Storage Depot delivers! Just be aware that the U-turn at the top of the hill is pretty tight if anyone’s parked there already, and you’ll be good to go.

I was their first customer under their new Noke keyless entry system. Speaking as a computer science professional and small business owner myself, it did not disappoint! You can enter using nothing but their mobile app, and even get the door to open remotely if you have someone coming to unload for you. For reference, Extra Space Storage in the Bay Area also uses the Noke system, and they’re in my top two up here for good reason.
