Review of Infinity Energy

You will regret spending even a minute of your time considering this company for your solar needs. They will promise you whatever you want at a good price. Once you have signed the contract, they will commit delivery and then not show up. They will make promises and then not deliver with no updates. You will always be in the dark. When you need help, you will not be permitted to speak with knowledgeable people.

Infinity Energy is incapable of planning/managing.
-Overall Project Execution was non-existent. We signed a contract in July 2021: Solar battery at a good price with installation in 6 weeks or less. 18 months later there was still no performance on the contract.
-Late in 2021 an installation was scheduled. The installers showed up, but did not have half the equipment they needed. The 3 installers spent the day on the phone. They were unable to commit a new delivery date. How can a company survive wasting resources like this?
-A second installation was scheduled in February 2022. No one showed up. The next day we were informed that a necessary trenching team was unavailable. No revised installation schedule was offered. What kind of planning is that?
-A third installation was scheduled in April 2022. This was canceled without notice.

Infinity Energy is not interested in the customer.
-After agreeing on a location for the battery, the first installers arrived with a plan for the battery in a new location without any prior notice to us totally disregarding the need for customer input. In addition they proposed only one battery without considering that our electrical needs required two batteries.
-During the 18-month duration of the project, often weeks would pass without any updates. Being in the dark is frustrating for a customer but that was not important to Infinity Energy
-Whenever scheduling or design issues were discussed the customer is not permitted to speak directly to the decision maker.

You cannot depend on Infinity Energy statements nor commitments.
-Original Installation was promised for 6 weeks; no installation after 18 months. Frequent intermediate commitments were not met, including 3 committed installation dates.
-We had to travel across the country to attend the installations. We explained this to Infinity Energy. After incurring $2k in travel expenses because there was no notification of cancellation, Infinity Energy offered reimbursement. This did not happen.
-The original price commitment was raised by 40% after 6 months had passed. Infinity Energy threatened to cancel the contract if we did not sign a new contract at this higher price so we signed.
-In December 2022, Infinity Energy said they could not complete the project because it was disapproved by the City Planners. I contacted the very City Planner responsible for the project. He said he had approved. Thus Infinity Energy actually lied to us.

I would rate this company and my experience -5 negative stars. Giving a 1 is way too nice. Scam Artist. . . Sales Person Joshua Hawkins lied in his sales pitch, via emails, and we have text messages. He said our panels would be covered for replacement if damaged. This is a lie. You deal with 3 companies in the process and they all lied. We have over 7 panels damaged and they were just installed in January. Damaged by February and here it is end of June and still not repaired. Customer service is horrible. Now they telling us we are responsible for the cost of repairs and we are responsible for protecting our panels with netting or covers on our freaking roof! This is ridiculous. We have contacted everyone we were involved with and still not resolved. We keep getting passed around and they all lie. Do not go with this company. You will be very disappointed. This review is to help the next person. I am moving forward with filing several complaints with state of TX for false, misleading, and deceptive sales practices.

I will this company 0 star. Worst customers service ever. I signed a contract in December 2022. Took them so long to install until May 2023. On the day of installation, they fried our microwave. Now is July, they still couldn’t replace my microwave and I don’t know if they are willing to pay for the replacement. I had been emailing and phone call many times without the responding. Looks like they are not willing to pay for the microwave. Also after 2 months of installation, they still not finalized the final process. No final PGE inspection and no interceptions. We still pay electric with the regular bill with PGE. Again many phone calls had been made but no response. About the payment, after the installation, they billed us 50%cost and called us every few days to ask us to pay without working on my microwave replacement. If we didn’t pay, they charge us interest. So, we ended up paying them the 50% of the cost. Very disappointed at this point and don’t know what to do next.

I'm rarely inspired to write negative reviews but these guys deserve it. We have a complete system that is installed by them but they don't know how to commission it so the very expensive system sits idle and none of the 6 people on the email thread will reply. Horrible company! Avoid at all cost. Careful - they'll demand payment upfront and then they won't deliver.

This has been a horrible experience that still isn’t over yet. The lack of communication and ownership of mistakes is mind-boggling. My house install started more than a month ago, the team brought different plans than we agreed on (but similar enough, ok…), they didn’t finish the job in a single day because it was a new system for these particular installers, we had to wait a month for day 2, it STILL isn’t completely done, the installers forgot to take pictures after (not) finishing so we are just sitting here for weeks now waiting for someone to take responsibility and do whatever needs to be done to finish and submit for inspections. The sales guy acting as a liaison has been doing his best, but still no answers. Reading other reviews makes me think this isn’t just a one-off event. What a mess. My neighbor started his solar project with another company at the exact same time and they finished the entire process, including inspections and PGE, weeks ago.

I have signup for the solar wit this company 7 months ago after several discussions with the sales people and come up with the numbers of the solar board and layout plan. However their installing term show up with a totally different layout plan after 1 and a half month long wait(they suppose to send me the final design to me for approval before the installation but they never did) . I had to stop the installation and withdraw the original design. There was another month waiting( it might be longer if I don't push them). Finally the solar boards were installed( btw their installers are very nice), but I found out they install 3 boards less than our original plan. So I called them about it and they were telling me because the solar boards on my original plan was out of stock, so they use different solar boards instead which can use less boards to generate the same amount of energy. It sounds not too bad to me. After 3 times of inspection( yes, 3 times) I thought I can finally can use the green energy but....I was told it might take up to 4-6 weeks for the PG&E can transfer to service to them. After 2 months waiting, I am still getting bills from PG&E and my solar system still not in service. So I called them and see what happened. They told me they had already submit the application and they don't know why at the moment. They said they will call me back once they find out why. After few days I got a text message from them saying that the numbers on the permit they submitted was wrong( which was the original number of the boards) they have to submit a correct one again. Yesterday, I got a message again saying the county already finalized the permit, so they have to apply the permit again, and cannot tell me how long it will take. It seems this company never follow up their job, If I don't call, I don''t think I will ever get to use the solar.....
My brother want to install solar as well and ask me if this is a good company to go with, I don't know how to answer him now(even thou this company said they will give $500 referral for it).

I have been very happy with Infinity Energy. First of all the entire team of people I worked with during various stages of the sale were all super helpful and knowledgeable. Secondly, the installation crew was top notch. They took the time to do a super clean job, very neat and tidy given what they had to work with on my house in terms of electric panels. Also, they explained clearly what they were doing. I most definitely recommend Infinity Energy.

These guys are terrible. They're scheduling was horrendous. They would work for one day and then plan to be out the next couple weeks. I had to demand they schedule my house for multiple days in order to not have partial installations for weeks on end. The employees were unprofessional and left my property a mess. They wore sweats to work and would leave early. They also stated they could "upgrade" my breaker panel. They just re used old parts it seems and the panel is ugly looking. Ran grounding wire super ugly and I had to have them re run it. I don't even know if they have electricians or not. The PM i initially had was no longer my PM and the new PM i got was awful.. i had to demand attention and make a lot of noise and be a rude customer just to get what i paid for.. not a good company at all.. customer service isn't any good either. DO NOT go with these guys. I went with them because they were the most affordable, but I am now regretting it unfortunately. Now my service provider Sunnova and I are going back and forth to see who is responsible for my breaker panel issues. Simply said go with somebody else. I honestly do not know if the Rocklin team or the Pleasanton team did my work.
