Glendale Landfill – Rude and Unhelpful Staff

I understand that working customer service isn’t always easy, but if you clearly don’t want to be there, at least don’t take it out on customers.

This was my first time at the landfill, and I made that very clear to the employee at the booth. Instead of providing even the slightest bit of guidance, she immediately demanded a $220 deposit without explaining why. When I asked for clarification, she gave a short, dismissive response—basically, “That’s just how it is.”

Trying again, I asked if this was the normal process, hoping for a simple explanation. Instead of taking even a moment to properly answer, her attitude became rude and condescending, as if I was a problem for asking basic questions. At one point, I even asked if there was a reason for the attitude, and she just brushed me off.

Look, I get it—maybe she’s having a bad day, maybe she deals with a lot of people—but that’s not an excuse to treat customers like an inconvenience. A simple, polite explanation would have gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling disrespected and frustrated.

If you ever visit this place, don’t expect good customer service, especially from staff who clearly don’t want to be there.

Be prepared to pay the increased prices regardless of what you are dumping. If under a ton, the minimum use fee $32.25.

Check your tires after leaving. Noticed a small leak and led to a blow out. Be careful out there.

This place turns out to be more expensive than what you have to pay at the door every time I go here I get a nail or something stuck to my tire then I either have to go get a patch or get a new tire if the nails in the wrong spot. I know there's a sign that says come in at your own wrist but they should at least try to keep it cleaner I now go to the one on Indian School and El mirage and they are a lot cleaner than here on Glendale
