Service has definitely gone downhilll since they bought out our previous waste provider. The online billing system is horrible relative to the old one and making payments is much more difficult (the previous provider used Intuit payments). I find it is marginally easier to call to make payment; however, good luck in getting someone to pick up the phone or call you back the same day. They also tried adding fuel surcharges without notice, and there is no transparency into how the fuel surcharge is determined.

Pick-up times for residential are also inconsistent. Sometimes they have been by our house by 7 am, even though bins are supposed to be at the curb by 8 am. Other times it hasn't been picked up before noon.

I recently needed a 6 yard bin for a residential clean up. I had never used Local Waste before and found their pricing very competitive. I found everyone extremely helpful and pleasant. I was contacted by Kelsey who set up the delivery and pick up schedule, and took payment. She was good natured and professional. On the day of delivery I wasn’t on site. Todd the delivery driver called me a couple times to get ahold of me to confirm the exact placement of the bin. Even though it was a tricky placement with several overhead power lines, he made sure it was completed. Great service and will definitely recommend them.

After years of annoyances with some competitors I was fortunate to get in contact with Colten from Local Waste who set up my workplace with great prices for recycling and roll off bins, and made the whole process easy to set up.

After starting services the drivers were extremely friendly, accommodating, and easy to deal with, as well as the dispatch team.

I cannot recommend this business enough! Genuine people to work with!

We just recently started using Local Environmental Services for our business. So far it has been great. Colten set us up and is easy to work with. The service feels much more personal than it did with our last provider, and is a little cheaper. It also feels good using a local service instead of one that is based in another province.

Had a driver yesterday almost run into me, i had to Alam on the brakes and I had the right of way. His excuse was I am driving a garbage truck, I asked does that mean you don't have to stop? He was overweight grey beard, grey hair in a blue t-shirt. I complained to the company and did not get a response. Stay clear of these drivers they think they are aboventhe law and put people in danger. I would never hire a company like this!
