As my financial advisor, Steve Burdick has managed my investments and coached me toward smarter financial decisions for over five years. I’ve been very happy with the results.
Each time I meet with Steve, he uses a short questionnaire to check in with my current investing style—conservative, moderate, or aggressive? This helps him decide whether to maintain my current investments or change our approach. Steve explains complex investment principles in depth and with great enthusiasm, with the goal of keeping clients well-informed.
Steve takes a long-term, big-picture approach to investing. His decisions always factor in the possibility of unexpected economic downturns. Steve designed my investment portfolio to withstand storms like COVID-19, for example, and it has. My investments have consistently performed better than expected.
Besides trusting Steve’s investing instincts, I trust his general advice on personal finances, too. Whenever we meet, Steve suggests several “next steps” for me to take in my financial journey (everything from budgeting to building credit). These conversations have empowered me to pursue life goals (higher education, homeownership) in a financially smart way. It would be difficult to overstate how much I have benefited from Steve’s perspective.
Of course, Steve is quick to direct clients towards specialized financial advisors when appropriate (he is not a tax advisor or mortgage lender, for example).
Steve is dedicated to financial principles that actually work, so he’ll also point out bad financial habits. That being said, Steve respects clients’ unique attitudes towards earning/ spending/ investing money—he can work with any individual style.
