I have been using the services of this company for MANY years and they consistently provide excellent service. Their staff is the most professional and always go above and beyond to answer questions as well as making sure any equipment issues are addressed. Jen was the tech for this routine service and she is AMAZING!! She very knowledgeable, friendly and she knows her stuff.

We used Active Environmental twice to lay new sods after pool construction within 2-3 weeks. Reason being the first estimate was off and didn't cover some area. Seeing the first set of sod is good, we agree to pay for the missing section. However second time around the sod was grey-ish looking even on the palette. I am not expert on that so I trusted them to put them in and I specifically asked their help to check if the irrigation is good after the installation and they assured me that its good and was set to run every night. Next day it all turned brown, call them up and was told it will grow back after 3-4 weeks but it never did. We can still see the clear straight lines and square corners where the 2nd patch of sod meets the slightly older sod but wasn't growing.

Call them up trying to work something out, instead Mike insisted its irrigation problem (he is the same guy that checked and assured me the irrigation is good TWICE). I asked is there anything we can do, but he simply assuming I was asking for free replacement (which I never meant to) and refused to talk after couple back and forth. I would be happy to work something out with them if they take the time to look at the problem and suggests solution even if costs $$$, instead they simply shutdown and refused to talk. I contacted Beau (seems to be the manager/boss) first to let them know I am about to post negative reviews if I don't hear anything from him. So I guess I gave them enough rooms.

So lesson learned, this is a company that don't stand behind their work. You might get lucky, but not always.

Update after business reply: The irrigation was never off. If it was off, it would be affect the neighboring new sod that was put down a week ago by ur crew and I should see them drying out as well. Sprinklers doesn't spray water in a perfect straight line and square corners, but that's what I see how the grass are dying. That tells me the new sod wasn't healthy to begin with and we are simply hoping the bad sod will grow. Attached is lawn taken less than 24 hours after the installation. Noticed the new sod is already brown/grey-ish looking comparing to the sod laid a week ago immediately next to it. Daily watering was not helping. Plus, if ur technician came and suggested I need additional work on the sprinkler I would happily let ur crew do it since u found the problem. Remember the whole reason why we have 2nd batch, its because for some reason ur crew said that huge area was missing from ur proposal, ur crew said I have to pay extra for that, I was happy to do it no questions asked. What I wasn't happy about is (1) the quality of the 2nd batch of sod, (2) Your mentality that I am forcing you to do free work instead of professionally work with me to find a solution.

I live in Windermere and I saw employees from this company literally smoking some type of substance out of a foilI have them on camera !!!!!!!also a woman with a weed eater burnt sections of my property line which I have pictures also?‍♂️tried to make an complaint but the owner but he was extremely rude!!!!!!! Will 100% not recommend this company and their services I’d give it a zero if I could.

I wouldn't recommend these meth heads to cut highway grass and I was walking my dog past Ripley's believe it or not and this same company cause I saw the truck and I smelled a strange oder and it wasn't marijuana
