We requested an estimate for structural calculations and a Title 24 report. They provided a price, and we agreed to pay. We paid in advance, and two weeks later, they said they could not provide the structural calculations but would offer mechanical calculations and the Title 24 report instead.
We decided to accept only the Title 24 report, but what they provided was the worst Title 24 I have ever seen. It wasn't even signed by the designer or engineer.
They said I could sign it and submit it to the city, even though I was the owner, not the architect or engineer.
We requested a refund, but they denied it. It ended up being an expensive and subpar Title 24 for the money.
