Hyde Park Akira - I love you but I absolutely promise you if you fix the terrible HARSH extra white spectrum lighting pointed direct down in the FITTING ROOMS that highlight every bad bump on ur body YOU WILL MAKE MORE SALES. I don’t have body issues but that lighting makes me not buy stuff, for real. Not a hard fix either!! Help your salespeople make more $ with an inexpensive fix. Pro level shopper here for my entire life so I know my stuff. Smart bulbs u can adjust the color spectrum from an app for more flattering hues … also adjust how the fixture is pointed. It’s like an interrogation spotlight in those rooms! I love Akira, my fav brand❤️

The store is fabulous. The store is not for people my age, but if I was younger I'll get me a part time job so that I could keep up with the look. I loved the store, and here are some pictures that people could oow and aah over.( laugh)

10 mins on the phone just to ask a question is crazy… There in store customer service is great but no one should have to wait on the phone for 10 mins

Friday I did some shopping, at Akira. I love the Hyde Park location. Alexis help me. She was friendly. Akira have some beautiful clothing. You can't go wrong shopping here. All the employees, are friendly. I will always returned. You can't go wrong, shopping here.

Wonder why they don't accept returns? Dollar store low quality with department store prices. Studs glued onto clothing (they randomly fall off) and not properly attached, boning rips through cheap material, belt loops on my jeans immediately ripped off during first wear.

This isn't after excessive use, washing or wear. This was the result during the first time wear. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Huge waste of money. Go find somewhere that the clothing quality matches the prices.

I miss Manager Robert at the HP store but Flo is great as well. Akira is one of my favorite spots I miss the days when it was less popular because one of a kind finds were truly that. Now with its popularity over the years and multiple store locations across the city, burbs, and other states it's definitely more accessible. I was thrilled about the closer location and I can always find something hands down. Akira has always sparked my attention with the shoe selection but the clothes and accessories keep fashionistas coming back for more. I love being able to grab brands like Dumond, Ted Baker, Vince Camuto, Cameo the Label, Gracia and the many other faves. Akira has introduced me to some of my favorite shoe and clothing brands. Akira present day is still on trend, there's always a bogo or sidewalk sale to scope out.
